We have all known people who are constantly putting others down. I think that many people do this because they are insecure and think it makes them look better when they point out the faults of others. What do you think?
Have you ever worked with someone that is always pointing your mistakes out to the boss?
Kids point out everything their siblings do wrong to parents-
Friends that point out your other friends flaws all the time-
What is the answer to stop this annoying behavior?

I agree that people that do this with no hint of humour or good naturedness are definitely insecure; and all they are trying to do is mask their own indequacies. The interesting part is that these type of people will generally be this way ONLY when there is an audience. Even the slightest laugh or acknowledgment they get from someone grants them the attention that they seek. As for how to deal with people like this? Agreeing with them all the time tends to take the wind out of their sails pretty quickly!
