Is Myspace going to start charging people??

This rumor surfaces every year. I remember it was suppose to start in 2007, and 2008. This is not true, and in fact has been addressed on several occasions by Tom

I don't think they'll be charging anyone or they'll be loosing a lot of people... May be bands or famous people's pages...

Hello all, I hope it's a rumor. Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll have to close my account. Unless, of course, if they pay a portion of their profits to their users. That's a completely different perspective. And even then, I'd have to seriously consider if I want to invest money on a website, whose sole purpose is making friends.

There always seems to be rumors going around about myspace. IF they start charging, I'm afraid they will lose a lot of people, me included. I'm not a teen but I'm sure there are other sites they can go to if that really does happen. I have myspace to keep up with my kids and grandkids. If I don't have it, no big loss..I talk to them all the time anyway. It would be a shame if it happens tho.

Well, it's probably just a rumour. There was one like this for Yahoo mail awhile back.

I've heard this before. I think it may be a rumor. If they start charging, then I'll cancel my account. But if they did charge, and if a lot of people stayed, they'd make a lot of cash off of it.
