as far as i know directx is not a graphic driver, it is something like a windows update that will enable your 3d graphic card to function better on your system ... if you need to update your graphic card driver then i suggest you to go to site of your graphic card and search for your one and download the latest update ... and also, do not forget to download and install also the latest directx, they can both be installed and should be

hmm...ok. well i don't really know a whole lot about computers. the only reason i asked about this is because a game i used to play worked fine on a different computer, but its all glitchy on this one. i thought it might be because we didn't have directx, but even that hasn't helped. thanks anyways.

You must get the latest Directx and latest update for your graphics driver. But if u gamers, you need to upgrade your PC.Maybe the memory or the graphics card.

actually if you really want an updated direct x driver please visit Microsoft.com. But if you're a gamer please check if meet the minimum requirement of the game for your PC. But its more fun playing when you're in recommended requirement. You can check the requirement of the game at the back of the CD casing, listed there the processor, memory, video card and hard drive capacity. Good Luck

directx is sort kind of software not driver... well its a driver but it doesn't need a specific hardware. you can even install directx in almost all video card driver. just leave your nvidia video driver installed in your system and install the directx. it won't have a problem trust me. im currently running 'mobile intel chipset' and 'directx10'.

Does your graphic card have a cd installer? Most cd installer contains its graphicard driver and directx.
