How many times have you given out the coveted 'best response' and then wished you could take it back later when the perfect response came in?

But did you ever give one to somebody and then get a better answer on your post?

So after you gave somebody a best response, did you ever get a better response?

I am a new bee in MyLot, but still i have kept a habbit to mark best response, once my Discussion get older more than 5 days. I will also mark positive to other responses which were close be a best response. At If I didn recieve any response which will convince me as best response, i will select best of all response al mark it positive. Hope I made some sense here...

Hi friend, i think best responses are really an achievement or appraisal. I got some best response. When seeing my response as best, my joy knew no boundary. But i am not good in judging and giving best response. When responses become large, really hard.

I have been avoiding this kind of situation since the time that I signed up here. I think most of my discussions will stay unresolved for at least 2 weeks for me to give a best response to it. In that way, I wouldn't think twice before I give the pencil mark to any of my discussions. Keep postings. HUGZ@

yeah it sucks because i wait at least a week from the last one and then i get a great response like a month later when the post is old.. and you cant even give them recognition for it since its already been done.. i have also accidentally hit the br button on some one before but it was a good response anyways so it wasnt a big deal

Ideally, it would be perfect getting 10 or more reponses to every topic, but it doesn't happen. On the otherhand, I like the idea of encouraging others by giving best responses, and by doing so they tend to 'follow you around'....or so i'm told!

Well, actually I am sure there are many times on here that this happens. That is part of the reasons I take at least a week or longer before ever choosing a Response unless someone just says something that really hits home for me as well. I feel that we need to give time for people to respond and if we do not, we often will regret our choices later. Maybe others on here feel it is important to do so earlier, but this is the Freedom we all enjoy. Getting to choose when we do, and deciding who to give it too. Because many times you may wonder why some pick who they do, but that is why this site is so different as well.

I don't think we should regret giving the best response even if other better responses come along. When it happens, I just make up to the better respondent by responding back to his discussions. have a nice day!

sounds like a fair way of handling it!
