Hey, do you believe in ghosts?

Let us know what you guys think about ghosts? Can they exist and will they scare you? What's their importance in today's society and so on..(he he..never mind!)

I try so hard not to.. But i'm such a scaredy cat especially when it is regarding ghosts. Here in the Philippines, there is a vast collection of undead creatures from each part of the country that is part of the local culture. And so from my point of view they play a big role in today's society at least here in the Phils. because Filipinos cherish tradition and culture and try their best to incorporate them in everyday life. Sadly, that includes stories (real and non-existent) about undead creatures. So technically yeah i do believe it hehe.. That's why I'm such a scaredy cat. lolz... x)

Thanks a bunch for replying! I admit am not a daredevil kind of person either. But I couldn't tell on a perfect scale as I didn't have the privilege of meeting the spirits/ghosts in person(?) yet.
Anyway, what about the undead culture and Philippines relation? Hope you could throw some more light on this.

So much thanks for sharing these mind-blowing infos. I'm actually a bit scared by your deliberate descriptions. I don't wish to fall prey to the lady whose name you forgot. She's the scariest one in your lot. :P
I guess a lot of horror flicks could be made just based on Philippine's stories.

i do, but not necessarily ghosts, i think the much better term is spirit. god created a big, big universe, we can't expect that we're the only ones who could occupy it, right?

Yes, that's a seemingly valid point. Though I doubt that it will be for this reason only that spirits should dwell in here. They are, you know, not solid actually, so they can't occupy any space as a matter of fact. He he..never mind.

good point *lol*, but I know, you know what I mean. in context, they are not occupying any space as they can't be consider as matter but they are here and in co-existence with us, not everything in this world has been explained by science and I bet some can never be.

Yes, hope pseudoscience makes more progress to answer more of our queries though. It's a perfect territory for research. There are things to explain. But as you bet, some things may never be explained.
And that eventually makes it all the more interesting!

We all have a lot of time to hear of your experiences. Feel free to share. As of me, I guess I am a very boring person even to the spirits/ghosts. They don't take much interest in me and avoid me whenever they can. I don't have any experiences whatsoever to feel their presence (or omnipresence? :p)!

Yes. Our house used to be "haunted". I hate using that word, but that's the only one I can come up with. Our bathrooms would lock and on the other side the person would say 'I'm in here' and then we go back into the living room and see that person sitting in their room. That freaked me out.
Another creepy story is when we would see family members walking through the house when they aren't even home. And once I was at a friend's house and when I came home my family had thought I was upstairs because I had been talking to them. If that isn't work from a spirit, I don't know.

I believe in ghosts as I am one of them. 
No kidding, I am serious. I started believing that when some doctors gave me only 24 hours on earth. They told I would not live for more than that. This happened 8 years back and from then on I believe myself to be a ghost as I am not supposed to be alive today.

What happened to you is to be considered a really lucky thing to happen to most of us. To be reborn when all hopes were against you. I can feel how you felt that time and even now when you believe you are indeed a walking ghost. Well, wish you ghost around here for some 80 years still.
