Help me out friends and fellow mylotters. I want to know, aside from Limewire. Where can I download songs for free? I've uninstalled my Limewire because I've learned that it gets a lot of virus. So now, I need to burn some songs for my kid's program at school. Thanks in advance. HUGZ to all.

Other than Limewire, I'm not sure. We don't have any viruses on our computer, or at least none that have come to my attention yet. I've seen some websited that you can download songs from, but they really don't have the songs you're looking for. I think there's something called 360 Share Pro. Maybe you can try that.

LimeWire has a lot of virus? hmmm.. you're probably referring to those fake uploaders which upload viruses using names of real downloads.
anyway, theres a lot of other Peer-to-Peer softwares around the net. you can try Kazaa, BearShare, eMule, etc. or if you're familiar with torrents, i'd suggest BitComet. c",)

Limewire just detects all that fits to your criteria of search. It really doesn't give you viruses unless you download the virus yourself. You can download albums from torrent sites.

Limewire is one source to download and have copies of your favorite songs. I also remember I also used Morpheus. But these two programs are P2P or peer-to-peer and you should really install them in your computer. They will take some memory and may slow down the performance of the computers. The last time I downloaded a song from the internet came from multiply.com but now, they already disabled downloading songs. Sorry about that my best. I wish I can help you. (neildc @ red/89/1665)

Limewire is full of virus! Oh I have to uninstall mine too. Thank you for giving me that tip. I've been dowloading some songs from there also. There is another one I think it is Morpheus. I heard it from a friend but I have no such software. I wish somebody could give a more detailed information about this software here in your discussion. Meanwhile, I will uninstall my Limewire now. Thanks again

Good, I"m glad you got rid of Limewire. That program really messed up my computer. I use FrostWire now and I haven't had any problems with it yet. I've heard that this one is relatively safer, but the chance of getting another virus is still there. After all, it is a P2P program so that chance is always there.
