I was wondering if anyone has lost a parent. I still have my mother, but i lost my father almost eleven years ago. It wasn't easy especially since it was less than a month after my seventeenth birthday. so I am wanting to know how others have dealt with the death of a parent.

I am so sorry to hear that you have lost both of your parents. I know it takes time for the pain to go away but I know for me the pain is still there thirteen years later it just does not show up all that often but every once in a while it hits me. I try and try to put it out of my mind but like someone told me that I am not putting out of my mind just kind of pushing it to the back and then it comes up sometimes. I hope things get better for you. I know that goodness or good things do not look like they will come anytime soon. You are right though it all can make your head spin and make you feel like your mind is all jumbled, so you kind of end up feeling confused.

I am sorry to hear that. I am lucky that i still have both my parents. At the age of 68 and 62 i hope they could stay with us longer.
