I heard from one of my relative that we are supposed to drink water immediately after eating. They say that it will cause digestion problem. They also advised me to drink water after 30 minutes from eating. Have you ever heard of this?? If so, do you people follow it???

well according to what i hav read and herd that we are advised to have water at least after 30 min of our regular meals since it effects as our digestive system.
during the time we eat digestive juices are released which helps in digestion the food.
but if we have water during our meals then the secreated juices will become diluted and thus our digestions will not take place properly.
well frankly speaking i try my best to follow it but it never works out.
lol

Hello,Vidyavini! It is true that we should not drink water while eating foods as it causes deposit of fats and effect the digestion. It is an accepted fact that we should drink adequate water after thirty minute of eating the meals.but we never bother about the bad effects of it and drink water while eating and put ourselves in to trouble.Yes,I drink water while eating foods.thanx.

Hi there Vidhyavini!
I haven't heard of that but I really drink lots of water when eating. Usually, I go home for dinner, sometimes, I came from our shop or from school but I am always thirsty. I can drink one to two glasses of water before eating, some sips while eating and a glass of water right after eating.
