For us, it's more of an ongoing process than a specific time frame.

It all gets done - just not certain things done at certain times during the week.

I'm like you, I straighten and clean. I have two children and they can tornado a house into disaray in seconds. They help clean too so they know how much work it is. I hate those signs that people with messy houses always have, "I cleaned my house yesterday, you should have seen it" Mine would say, "I just cleaned my house, now get the heck out of it!"

All the basic tidying gets done throughout the day everyday. Vacuuming gets done as needed...usually every other day at least. Then I do a once weekly, main cleaning. That's when everything gets organized, cleaned, vacuumed and mopped and whatever else needs done.

I love a clean house, but I don't let the thought consume me, as I have met people like that before. Well, I don't clean every day, and in fact, hubby does most of the cleaning now that we are retired. He did at least half of it and probably more even before we retired. It makes a big difference!
PS: I heard you made some great enchiladas recently!

Hi...same like you I do housework everyday too. I don't sweep the floor but mop it by using a microfibre mop with long handle. All the dust, hair and particles will stick on to the fibre mop so it makes my cleaning easier. Toilet bowl and sink is washed every day. Laundry will done done when the basket is half full. There's only my husband and me in the apartment with no kids yet so cleaning and maintaining is kinda easy. I also cook.

I carry a full time job and have a 2 year old son. My house work usually gets done on Sundays or whenever I have a moment free to pick up here and there. I don't think even without the full time job and son I would be able to do housework everyday. Kudos to you spikelives.

I usually try to keep things tidy and orderly on a regular basis. Just about every day I tend to the chores of the house hold. I like to dust some furniture and make sure there are no dishes in the sink.
I like to make sure beds are made and the clothes are put away or hung up properly. I just like to be in a clean surrounding. I just feel better that way.
