how many of you use credit or debit cards?

I am using my credit card for emergency like i dont have enough cash for groceries and our foods. But if i have cash, i prefer to pay cash than using my credit card...

We used to have three active credit cards a year ago and I considered that we're fortunate enough to be approved of all three. But I found out a little later that it was the opposite. As expected, we overused it for practically anything, from the basic commodities to our luxuries. As a result, we exceeded our credit limits and sadly enough, they were barred from the card system. I have to admit that we weren't able to pay all of our monetary obligations with these three credit card companies. Luckily, I was able to pay-off the whole amount last January of the present year in one of these cards. The second one, we still have a thousand pesos or approximately two hundred twenty dollars. While the third one, we still owe the card company about eight hundred dollars. It was absolutely our mistake of overusing the cards and not paying the whole amount immediately. Penalties, surcharges, and additional interests have accrued on the bills already. So, I told myself to pay-off all of it as soon as our finances permit us and I'll try my best not to be tempted of using credit cards again. Now, we have no choice but to pay all our purchases in cash. Hopefully, we'll have enough funds to live by and not rely on the cards.

I have a bank debt card but I don't use it when I go grocery shopping.

I don't have a credit card, but think I will get one in order to establish credit. I do however use a debit card. I think it is much more convenient than having to always carry around cash, and you can use it for internet purchases. Cash always has the problem of having to carry it around, and getting change back, and if cash is stolen, you have really no way to get it back, or "cancel" it. Definitely a fan of debit cards.

I prefer to use cards and not carry any cash at all. I've been that way for around 7 or 8 years.

usually i don't really use my credit card unless i have to. most of the time i just give cash to buy the stuff that i want on the store. but i would use the credit care for very expensive items because i get to get 1% back.

I do use a credit card and debit card. In fact I got rid of my credit card recently and I kind of regret it. I realize if I still had it I wouldn't have to worry about having money for gas or other things that unexpectedly comes up, so I might look into other cards that I may apply for after I get this one completely paid off.

Well it depends, I usually use cash for my purchases because it is a lot easier for me, but for big purchases online I like to use credit as long as I have the money on hand to immediately pay the credit card down, I do this so I can build my credit score, making it easier to get loans for college which is coming soon. I just bought an airline ticket online for Sweden a few weeks ago, it was a little over $800 USD, so I used my credit card and had it paid off the next day, it felt reall good to finally buy that ticket! But anyways, when I buy food or regular need objects, I always use cash because it is kind of stupid to use credit on those things. When I shop online I only use paypal because that is a very easy way to have transactions while having the money on hand, I love paypal! Anyways, what do you use when you are shopping? Although i have credit and debit cards, i don't use them while shopping. I use direct cash for shopping.

I have credit card but prefer go shopping by cash.I use my credit card for on-line purpose and pay my bills through internet and for the petrol too. My advice to anybody who don't have a credit card yet, try to avoid it, or if you have one, try to not make another one. I think the banker make a good money from our credit card, they know how to make us use it...

i got a credit card. but i havent used ti yet. its aprepaid teen credit card im not old enuff to get a real one yet . wich i guess is a gud idea. so wen i do get it and put money on it i will b using it . i cant wait. yay.!!
