How many times you eat in a Day?

There are people who eat 5 times a day. Breakfast, mid morning snacks, lunch, mid afternoon snacks and dinner. There are others who still have an evening snacks.. Do you believe that? yes I do because I have a friend who is like that. She is obese.. Do you think it is good for health to eat many times in a day? They said, it is better than eating only twice a day. what do you think?

This is evidence that eating frequent small meals is healthier.I am diabetic so I'm not supposed to go more than 3 hours without eating something. It helps keep blood sugar regulated. Now, you shouldn't eat full meals each time, just a snack item.

It is normal in my place to eat as many times as you can...As unhealthy as it may seem, but I guess it's the status cuo in here...No matter how difficult life may be in my country, we see to it that we can eat the food that we like, whether it's costly or not...^^ So in here, we eat about 3 major meals and 2 light snacks...sometimes if we go out, another light meal is taken right before we go home...^^

wow!! that is really good!! yea, there are people who are used to eat snacks and heavy meals. there are places which has many available food to eat so, why punish yourself? by controlling appetite?

Good for you. You can eat as many as you want compared to others who couldn't afford to buy their food because they have no money. Same here. I also eat 3 major meals and 2 snacks, and more especially if me and partner to dine out.

Science has said it is better for a person to eat at least 6 times per day. Now the key however is to make sure they are healthy snacks. As well as eating smaller portions. You begin this by eating at earliest 20 minutes after rising in the morning and nothing 1 hour before going to bed at nite. Also you should include some minimal amount of exercise to force the body's natural metabolism to keep burning as you go throughout your day. And as always consult your doctor before persuing any diet.

I normally only eat one meal and 2 snacks a day. I will eat dinner, and around lunch time I will have a small snack and before bed I have a small snack. I really don't eat much at all, wish I could show that...lol Seems my body looks like I eat a lot when I really don't oh well...They say (or at least what I have heard)it is better to eat like 5 times a day, so maybe I should try that. Only problem is I can't afford to eat 5 meals or 3 meals and 2 snacks a day....

I heard from others that if you eat 5-6 times a day you will lose weight. But not eating too much. Just a little but 6 times? I don;t know how true but I heard that from people who are working on losing weight. Maybe you can try that too.

What are you eating for lunch lindsaykaye82? Don't get offended but I think your eating habit is not a healthy one. You can eat many times without spending too much.

Hello,Bebs! I never eat breakfast.I manage with my lunch and dinner everyday.some days I may take some snacks if required.This habit I have developed since my college days and continuing at this age of seventy and I am doing well.thanx.

Well I'm a diabetic, and they tell us to eat 6 times a day, 3 meals a day and 3 snacks, BUT, and its a big BUT, the meals and snacks have to be healthy food not junk food, and not big portions, it helps to curb your hunger so you don't overeat, and it helps to keep your sugar at a normal level, and not dropping all the time. I've always been told not to skip meals either, make sure you eat a good breakfast everyday, I know alot of people only eat twice a day, me included most of the time, I try to eat something for breakfast, even if its just cereal.

I often heard this.. that diabetic people eat are advised to eat 6 times a day but not much.. just little. And also those who want to lose weight are eating 6 small meals a day... Good luck to you.

Hi friend, i eat 3 or 4 times a day. Most often 3 per day. Breakfast, lunch and supper. But if i have tiredness or appetite at dawn, then i have take my food. Now i have increased appetite, because of doing gymnastics. However i try to suppress my appetite

Hi Bebs, [i]I am like that when I was working..lol! My friends and I will always hangout in our cafeteria..ANyway, we do a lot of work and face lots of stress so maybe the reason why we never gained a lot of weight! Now that I have no regular job, I only eat one big mean and snacks while working online![/i]

I am normally eating 3 times a day only and I make sure they are not that heavy. I believe the more you eat the more you get hungry because your stomach expands and you then to easily feel the hunger. Many filipinos do tend to eat at least 3 heavy meals and always indulge in eating junks in between. The result is obesity. Well whatever we feed ourselves shows so we really have to be careful about how much and what kind of food we eat.

hi bebs08 i eat 4 times a day frankly speaking because if i will stay empty stomach then i will have severe acidity and even gastric problem so in order to avoid them i never use to keep my stomach empty morning breakfast, then lunch,evening snacks and last my dinner i used to take less quantity of food which helps me in digestion very fast so i don't feel is there any kind of harm if i am taking food 4 times a day

oh yea, I have friends who have ulcers and they don;t want to miss their food. anytime they felt hungry they will really eat. They always bring food with them in their bags. I understand that.

I eat 4-5 times a day - breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and midnight snack. Actually, it's okay to eat many times as long as you are eating healthy foods. Of course, it's good for the body. If you don't eat regularly you will lack the strength to do other things.
