I wanted to know one thing. This night i knew my laptop battery wasnt full, so i decided to put it on AC Power and charge it. But next moment i stopped coz i knew if i didnt wake up in the morning early the AC power is still gonna remain on.
So my question is that , Does it harm if we keep the power on even if the battery is fully charged, does it harm the battery and the battery life? or is it safe, to put it on charge and even if u forgot to turn it off!
M talking when the laptop is not turned on just put on Battery Charging ! while off.
I m confused!

Hmm.. Personally, I don't think that it would spoil the battery if you are just charging it and it's not turn on. When the battery is full, your adapter would have a stop function to it, to prevent more electricity to enter the battery and overcharging it. Unless your adapter is spoilt, then there would be the problem of overcharged batteries.
However, my technician had once told me before leaving your charger on if your computer is off is okay, but if you were to leave your computer on and charging it at the same time, then that is where the problem lies. Your battery would get corroded very fast.
It is also the same thing with your adapter. If let's say your adapter is unable to recognise that your battery is fully charged and does not open the circuit, your battery would run into the possibility of overcharging. This would not spoil the battery immediately, but would just weaken its ability to hold to its electricity in moments of dormant. As time goes by with this sort of activity, you will then realise that you battery will start to lose power very fast, as it is weakened.
By the time this process goes on and on, your battery would eventually die out, and you would have to replace the entire battery! Anyway, I know that I am rambling, but I hope that this would help to clear up your confusion!
Well, take care my friend! And Happy Mylotting!!

leaving the battery charging over night will not hurt the battery or your charger. You do need to work the batter periodicly and when you do work the batter take it all the way down to the 5% level before putting it back on Charge this will make your batter work at its best longest

To take care of your battery:
Exercise the Battery,
Don't leave a charged Battery dormant for long periods of time. Once charged, you should at least use the Battery at least once every two to three weeks.

I leave my laptop plugged in all the time especially when I use it at home. But like what others have already said, it will be very good for the battery to be calibrated at least once a month. Meaning, once it's fully charged unplug it and use your battery until it drains and then leave it charging again until it's full and you can use it on power adapter as the power source again (laptop plugged in).
