Have you go through in Tropical Storm or Hurricane?

Fay Tropical Storm is here now but it is weak right now. I just am staying home and watch tv plus mylotting now. Have you go through the storm. Did you stay home or leave the home? If you stay home, what was it like? If you leave and come back, what did you find after the storm?
I am bored and wait for the storm to be over. I have took video of the outside.
Share your experience in those storm. It can be either positive or negative.

Well we had hurrican Rita that hit LA a few years back, but I live 5 hours from new orleans so I was not actually in the hurricane just the people traveling and rainy weather. It was very hectic. I could not imagine what I would do in a situation like this. I would definitely leave my home although I would want to stay and see exactly what it was like.

I remember that. I watched news about it. Also Katherine was worse one, too. If that kind serious storm, i would definitely leave!

I lived on the Gulf Coast of Florida, in Central Florida and on the Gulf Coast of Texas. So, yes, I have seen many tropical storms and hurricanes.
Once in the early 80s, there was one that came through Houston and although we were fortunate not to have too much damage other than downed power lines, in our townhouse complex we were without water for three days and without electricity for three weeks. What a challenge that was - in the Houston heat.
