Have you added friends to your list and never seem to come across any of their post or see any of their posts. I have made many friends, and it seems like they just vanished, maybe I am not on at the same time they are. I know you can't keep up with all the friends you have but it would be nice to get to know them. What do you think?

I was told the more friends the more responses you get to your discussions you support them and the will return the favor.

This is true if your friends are very active, and you have something in common with them. I have a few friends that write alot of discussions but I don't have much to say back because I know nothing of what they are talking about.

True, I don't comment on all either somethings you are just don't have any knowledge of and it is best to just pass them up.

There is a notify button next to your friends name that you can turn on and it will let you know that they have posted something new. I was a member for a long time before I even knew about it. I also though have friends that don't start very many discussions so I don't see them as much as I would like. Then I have a few that like you said just vanish. No activity at all in months.

Hi Chevee, did you turn on the notification? anyway if you did, maybe they are not active in posting, they are just hanging around to respond on the post! I have also friends like that but sad to say 3/4 of my friends are no longer active, wish they will be back soon!

i dont accept freinds requests anymore unless i have actually spent some time already interacting with them and gotten to know them a bit first. ive downsized my list to a few and have a feeling i will be doing more deleting on it in the near future. id rather have a small list of TRUE friends, than a long one filled with people i wouldnt wanna even know in RL just to give the air of being "popular".

I have noticed the same thing. I seem to talk to the same few people all the time. I don't even see new discussions from the others. Don't know why it is though.

I think you're right in some sense. To make friends with others is really nice for us, but I'll be careful. I think time is best key to check friendship. Just like you say, I can't keep up with them very often and not all. I always believe that the person who has many friends will get more happiness and more fortunate.

Hi there Chevee! When I was just starting with myLot more than a year ago, I just accepted all friend requests that I get. As time went by, I have noticed that most of them are no longer active here. I have become more careful in choosing the requests that I accept. Even then, after a while of being active, some of them just went MIA. Well, they might have found other sites they are more comfortable and happy with. I do agree with you, it would be nice to get to know them more.

I have over 200 friends here and more than half of them do not respond to my discussions. The ones who were active in the beginning also seem to have disappeared.

i have noticed that this place is not as intimate as other profile pages or sites. i am just responding to email and chatting here for fun...i barely know people here, even as pen pals. i seem to know the other people on my other pages, like myspace, facebook, hi5, etc, they are more intimate group geared for social networking more.
