It all depends on what you like and consider a good book. I like Anne Rice and her vampire series. There are also a lot of romance books that I think are wonderful, I can't think of the person who wrote them right now. I also enjoy Anita Blake series, you might as well if your into the whole romance vampire type thing.

Right now, I am not planning to read a book. But since my sister bought a book then I will try to read that one. The book is a classic, Little Women by Alcott. I know many of you have read this but this is the first time I'll be reading this. Although my solid plan is really to wait for the September 20 release of Brisingr, which is the third book after Eragon. I like fantasy books where my imagination is let loose.

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is the one I am currently reading and if you read this book do not watch the movie because the film is not like the book. In fact, the film is off on a lot of things. This book is far better than the film. I feel bad for Ray Bradbury to have created such a great book, but then have to see the horrible film that followed it. Luckily the film did not tarnish the books reputation.

At the moment I am reading "The Constant Princess" By Philippa Greggory, it is about the tudor times of England and Katherine Of Aragon who was King Henry VIII first wife. The book covers from her childhood to her coming to England and her life. It is absolutley riveting and is really sad in places, it is beautifully written and a brilliant read!

Everyone has different tastes so it is hard to recommend books to other people. I read a book that a friend of mine said she just couldn`t get into. I said it was because she doesn`t read women`s fiction; she is more into sci-fi and horror. She realized I was right.
I am currently reading two books. One is an inspirational book by Joyce Meyer - 21 Ways to Finding Peace and Happiness. The other is a collection of short stories by Ed McBain - The McBain Briefs. He writes amazing stories and I am finding his short stories even more fun to read. They are also giving me great ideas for my own short stories.

Right now I'm working on a James Patterson book called the 7th Heaven. He's the author of the Women's Murder Club. So far the book is not bad. Chapters are shot just like watching the tv show. They came out this year on abc. So far so good, I don't read it every day but when I do. It's really good just like watching it on tv almost.

Hi Jhl930,
Right now I'm reading Think and Grow Rich. I am on a binge for information regarding the laws of nature right now. It started with reading The Secret. The book really inspired me as far as the power of our thoughts. Since then, I've read and researched any information that I can find regarding metaphysics, quantum theory etc. I just bought the book two days ago. I am enjoying reading it because I am so interested in this concept of controlling our destiny with our minds. The Secret was a great book to introduce you to the concept and now all these other books I've been reading are more in depth of the "how to". Reading is kind of like exercise to me. I love to do it once I get into it, but it is very easy to become lazy and not do it. In order to introduce my children into reading more, I have used my interest in this topic as a guide. The way The Secret is reading, it is light and easy to read. I got through the book in no time. It kind of prepared my mind for more in depth reading. So using that as a model, I've given my children some lighter books to read to peak their interest and then given them something a little more challenging to pick up the feeding frenzie.

I love reading books by paolo coelho, a brazilian writer. His works are really deep and inspiring. His words and descriptions are so vivid that makes your imagination go to different places. I also love reading the works of nicholas sparks. His stories has tragic endinds but still i love how he takes you into the shoes of the character. Also, it was just recently that i read rich dad poor dad. It was just lended to me. At first i liked it. It has some radical suggestions in it on how to be rich. But when I checked on it in the web, there are some or a couple of bad reviews about it.

right now i am reading "zahir" it's a book written by paulo coelho.. it's a nice book, well, paulo coelho really knows how to captivate his readers attention with the words he used and with how he wrote his book in general. i have also read his "the alchemist" "veronica decides to die" "by the river piedra i sat down and wept" they are all good books with nice and sensible stories. it tells us of our reality and what this life is all about.. i would like to get a novel with a lovey story like that of judith mcnaught soon..well, that's after i finished reading zahir!i love her books and i used to read a lot of her books when i was still in college!

Currently, I am reading the latest John Grisham's book, The Appeal. I have real all his other 20 fiction and non-fiction works and I really hope that this one is just as amazing as the rest. John Grisham is such a brilliant story teller. His legal thrillers are gripping and fast-paced. Next I will be waiting for his next book, The Associate, which will be released Jan 2009. If you have the time, just grab one of his books and start exploring his legal thrills.

I am currently reading Margaret Atwood's Blind Assassin. It is a good book, and starts off introducing Iris whose sister has killed herself. I am in the early part of the book and am just getting to know the characters. I would only recommend it if you can read very long books as it is over 600 pages long!

I'm currently reading Polgara the Sorceress by David and Leigh Eddings. It's related to the Belgariad and Malloreon series by David Eddings. If you like Epic Fantasy books, this series is great! ^_^ But since you've mentioned that you don't really read a lot, I guess I'd just recommend Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. It's also a part of a series, but it can survive on its own. It's a masterpiece. ^_^
