Do You Believe There's a Hell?

I think people take the topic of hell to lightly. I knew a jehovah's witness who didnt believe there was a hell and we had a discussion. Someone else told me they were going to hell because only a certain amount of people can go to heaven. But hell is not a place you would want to go. I know there's a hell but right now I do not plan on going. It is not a place where you would want to be. Do you believe here's a hell

There's not a hell. When people die...they remain in the ground. They are either resurrected to an earthly paradise or they stay in the ground and just cease to exist. Only a certain number of people go to heaven. Those people have already been spoken for. They are members of the 144,000.The rest are a part of the crowd of people who are destined to inhabit a perfect earth.

in the bible it says anyone who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior and belives in His word and follows His word goes to heave. your BODY REMAINS in th GROUND but YOUR SOUL GOES to HEAVEN or HELL. there is no in betweeen. many people who do not believe in a hell are the main ones who go to hell. this society nowadays just belive that there isnt a hell when there is. HELL IS REAL. its NOT a place you want to go to. IM NOT GOING TO HELL!

Hell is here on earth. Satan is the god of this earth. The Bible clearly states that only 144,000 will go to heaven. They are the great crowd. The smaller crowd will inhabit a perfect earth. There will also be those who are resurrected. Check your Bible again!

I do not understand the purpose of this discussion, so I will withhold my views on this matter of hell. I observed your responses to the first two users who had answered your post, and I gathered that you are convinced about the existence of hell. Not only are you terrified of it, but also you are quite sure you won't go there because you believe in the "truth" of the gospels. You are also sure of exactly who will go there. Since you know and since you are sure, what is the point in collecting other people's views on hell? It is obvious they won't alter your beliefs in the least. So what is the use of learning why others don't believe in it and aren't afraid of it? Honestly, I do not understand your purpose in creating this discussion. Did you start it to convince others of the existence of hell? To create an awareness of hell or something like that? Cheers and happy Mylotting

The discussion is what the question asks of course. Anyone with a brain should know the meaning of this discussion. DUH! There is a purpose of this discussion. I wanted to see other viewpoints on the discussion of the existence of hell. Obviously you didnt grasp that. Im not trying to alter beliefs and i dont plan on mines being altered. The whole point of any discussion is to get other people's viewpoints. Maybe if you would take the time and comprehend you would know.

You will get one of the two answers to your questions, and this is what will happen: 1. People will say YES, to which you will feel happy and reply, Yes, my friend, true, true, hell is real, absolutely real. 2. People will say NO, to which you will not feel so happy, and say, but, of course, it is real, the BIBLE says so, and how can you say to the contrary. And you might even say, "those who don't believe will go to hell!" Out of this, what will you have gained? Nothing, except the joy of stating that "hell is real!" Cheers and happy mylotting!!

Yes there is, and it is very real. Of course you should not want to go there since it is not a nice sight to behold at and not a very nice place. Hell is described in many books of the Christian Bible. And it is where people will be punished for sin and permanently separated from God after the last judgment. Gehenna, the greek word for Hell, is most frequently described as a place of fiery torment (eg. Matthew 5:22, 18:8-9; Mark 9:43-49) although other imagery is also used such as darkness and "weeping and gnashing of teeth" (eg. Matthew 8:12; 22:13). The book of Revelation contains the image of a "lake of fire" and "burning sulphur" where the reprobate will be "tormented day and night for ever and ever"(eg. Revelation 20:10)

I don't know. Right now living on Earth feels like I'm already there. Actually I consider living to be more like purgatory. I don't think we can make this decision about heaven and hell. Why? Because no one has been to those places as a weekend getaway. No one can say for sure what it's like. And a book isn't going to tell me what to believe.

I agree that it is not our decision to make. But i dont think anyone should go around saying that they arent going to heaven. Because if you keep speaking it then you arent going to be there. Right now i say i am but if i get to the "pearly gates" and something is wrong then thats between GOD and me.
