Are you afraid of Death? A kind of morbid discussion.....

Without turning this into a religious discussion, are you afraid of death? I guess I'd have to admit that I am. First of all, I'm not sure which way I think would be the best to die, because I don't want to. I do know, for sure, that I don't want to burn to death or drown. So I guess, I would like to die peacefully, in my sleep. Secondly, the thing I fear most is what happens next? In my head, I equate living to kind of like watching a movie. Death is the equation of the big curtains closing and the theater going dark. I'm not so much worried about what is going to happen to my body, I mean if you're dead you can't use it anyway right? But then what? Is it just black forever? Is there a remote possibility of reincarnation? Do you believe in it?

NO, I'm NOT afraid to die!!! However, I am in NO hurry to die either. There is NO good way to die. I agree that drowning & fire would be 2 horrid ways to die!!! I would prefer to go in my sleep also, but have noticed that seems to be the last way most go. I believe God created our spirit & it has a journey of knowledge unil it gets it right. The body is only a vessel for the spirit to use on it's journey. Once the body is gone, the spirit continues on its journey. So I think there will be MUCH MORE than darkness. The spirit uses that time to reflect on what it has learned until it inhabits another body for the next steps of its journey. Once the spirit has learned all lessons, it graduates into Heaven to become a glorious angel. I believe Hell is the spirit NEVER learning its lesson & continuing it's earthly quest for knowledge never making it into Heaven. My beliefs are not very popular as I believe that being condemned to Hell is being condemned to eternally walk the earth on a neverending journey.

I am not afraid to die, i am just afraid for the people who relied so much on me if i die.

No I'm not because I know where i'm going. I just don't want to die in a very morbid way like being in a major accident. But, only God holds my life so it's up to Him if He still wants me to live longer :)

Hi, auntiedis,
I admit I am afraid too. It's a problem that I don't know where I will go to. If my mind will disappear, I think I don't fear. But if not, how a bad thing it is. I will can't see my friends and relative, and have a chat with them. I will struggle with missing them forever. I will be painful.
Don't let it ruin your good mind to enjoy life before we realize what will happen.
