Vaccinations for children

I'm sure everyone has been hearing all the controversy on the news about the use of vaccinations for children. As early as today, MSNBC did a report on vaccination usage and the growing concern that certain vaccinations cause Autism or other disabilities. While I am leery about some vaccinations (like the one for HPV for girls--I never had the vaccination and I am fine?), I do feel that the classic vaccinations for things like Measles and Mumps is still important. They've always worked and caused minimal problems. My question is, just how many more darn vaccinations are we going to have to pump into our children's bodies before it's too much? It seems we're creating vaccinations for everything these days . . . is it ALL really necessary? Where should the line be drawn?

I know a faily who has a 15 year old daughter who had a severe reaction to the MMR shot that she had when she was a baby. She was perfectly normal before the shot. Today she has the mentality of a 3 year old. She has had 2 kinds of rare cancers that were linked to the immunization. Becasue of that she has undergone painful and life threatening treatments. She was not expected to make it through all of that, but she is a fighter and she is still here. A beautiful, sweet young girl of 15 that will never live a normal life. Makes you think....................

That's terrible. How did they know it was the MMR shot that gave her the reaction and cancers, did it happen right after she received the shot? Perhaps some human bodies are not able to take the vaccinations . . . everyone is different I suppose. I wonder how many documented cases exist such as the one you mentioned, too.
