I'm picking up an idea I had when I was a kid.

When I was still a kid, I had a great idea for a story. Actually, I had several really well thought-out story arcs, and I'm planning on taking my most generic one and spicing it up a bit.
Does this sound like a good idea?
I've been collecting new ideas since 2006, and I'm finally ready to start writing an actual story. If you have a nice story idea of your own, please, share, and to learn of my idea, I could direct you to its blog, but that would be rude, so here's a basic summary:
A love story based in a time when three kingdoms are at war. The three kingdoms are Aida, Alexia, and Frieda. In chapter one, Aida's queen catches her younger sister with King Alaric's son, Lucius. Abrienda is introduced as a princess who really doesn't like being a princess.
Good for the back of a DVD cover, yes?

Go ahead with it. Sounds fine so far. I always believed that one should follow one's creative side and see where it leads. It can't hurt to pursue this. Hope you have great success with it. Good luck!
