and I'd like to ask for your assistance about refurbished items. I am currently using a low-end laptop and it's used everyday that is why I'm planning to buy a desktop for general purposes. The thing is, I don't have big cashes in my hand that I can't afford to buy a dual core mainboard, a brand new one. So instead, I am after refurbished states but I'm afraid of buying one due to unassured durability. If you have any good experiences with refurbished stuffs, please share a cent about it thanks!

i've had good experiences with refurbished computers. Not to mention several people i know whom i've worked on their computers. Usually a refurbished machine will go back to the manufacturer or a trained technician and they'll look the machine over for defects before sale. If you are planning on purchasing online i would look at www.geeks.com i've use that site alot when buying parts. The other night i saw a 2.4Ghz P4 w/ 256MB RAM for $65...not including hard drive or monitor, mouse or keyboard. Still not a bad deal for a Pentium 4.

Did you check out Dell. I have heard good things about their refurbished stuff. I bought from them, new stuff, many times. They go above and beyond. Hope this helps you.

Thanks.. Dell does a good name, if they can give something good but cheap, I'll surely grab it.
