Good day to you my friend c",)
Oh yes! i do, actually i am singing along with it right now my favorite song by Patti Austin "IF I BELIEVE" ... actually it's one of my favorites, mostly i do memorize it if i really love the song. I just love the rythm and lyrics it uplifts my soul.. I always sing this when i attend weddings or other songs if requested. I think you should try to listen to this song and if you already know this, pls. come and sing with me.
I would share the lyrics here c",)
IF I BELIEVE
If I believed in paradise
I'd swear I must be there
I'd swear I must be there right now with you
If I believed in miracles
I'd know that one was happening to me
But if I don't believe in paradise
Then miracles aren't real
Then someone tell me what is this I feel
I wanna believe it's love this time
I wanna believe my heart's not telling me a lie
But with you I can't deny
if I believed in paradise
I'd swear I'm there
If I believed in magic spells
It all would be so clear
'Cause magic spells must have brought you here
If I could see the future
I'd see if you and I were meant to be
But I dont know any magic
And tomorrow's just a dream
But something in this fantasy is real
I wanna believe it's love this time
I wanna believe my heart's not telling me a lie
I wanna believe it's love this time
I wanna believe my heart's not telling me a lie
But with you I cant deny
If I believed in paradise
I'd swear I'm there
I'm there
I'm there
If I believed.
How about you guys, have you memorized your favorite songs? or just sing with it in your mind and humm.lOL!

Oh I know that song.. actually I grew up to this kinds of song because of my sister but still now I'm more of an old school rock and metal fan.
whenever I love some music I always gets to memorize it unconsciously because of singing the song over and over. Almost all of the song of coheed and cambria are in my head, some song of mars volta and pink floyd.

yeah, lots of coheed's listners were a bit perplexed about the lyrics of the song.. actually all of the albums of coheed is a continuous story telling. So to get the whole point of all of the song its good to have a background about the story "armory wars".. but still even without the background you can still have your own interpretation of the song just like with the one you mention "the suffering" and "wake up".
You'll be amazed as to how deep and wide the background story of all of there song.

I dun normally memorise songs on purpose.. The only way for me to memorise is to keep listening to the same songs till it etch into my mind automatically.. lol =D
Each time i listen to the songs, i will remember bit by bit and by time i memoris the whole song, radio stations wun be playing that song anymore.. lol =D And so when it plays again after some time and i can still remember the lyrics, it proves that my method works.. haha =D

"Dreaming for you"
Late at night when all the world is sleeping,
I'd stay up and think of you,
and I wish on a star,
that some where you are thinking of me too,
Cause am dreaming of you tonight,
till tomorrow I'll be holding you tight
and there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be,
then here in my room dreaming about,
You and me.
wonder if you ever see me
And I wonder if you know am there.
if you look in my eyes could you see what's inside
would you even care?
I just wanna hold you close,
but so far all I have are dreams of you
So I wait for the day for the courage to say
how much I love you
yes I do
I'll be dreaming of you tonight
till tomorrow I'll be holding you tight
And there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
Then here in my room dream about
You and me.
late at night when all the world is sleeping
I'd stay up and think of you
and I still can't believe that you came up to me
and said I love you, I love you too
Now I am dreaming with you tonight
till tomorrow and for whole of my life
and there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
then dream with you endlessly..
********(this is one of the songs I used to sing to my ex boyfriend)
then there's another song ..
It's actually a church hymn which I heard during a ring ceremony.
You by my side
That's how I see us,
I close my eyes and that's how I see us,
we're in our way
To say I do
My secret dreams have all come true,
I see the church I see the people,
your folks and mine happy and smiling,
and I can hear sweet voices singing,
ave maria..
let it be , let it be
That I am the one for you
let it be, let it be
Now and forever
******(I am in love with these to songs.. I have sung many songs like this for my ex..)
and there are many more..
I actually keep one singing again again and that's how I just can't forget them.

Lonely I'm Mr Lonely,
I have nobody,
For my own
I'm so lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely

For my own
I'm so lonely,Yo this one here goes out to all my players out there ya know got that one good girl who's always been there like ya
Know took all the b'llshit then one day she can't take it no more and decides to leave
I woke up in the middle of the night and I noticed my girl wasn't by my side, could a sworn I was dreaming, for her I was

I know the song it is one of my favorites. Somewhere in time during my college days, Jaya guested on our school auditorium and asked someone from the audience to sing her song, my classmate shouted my name and Jaya came to me and ask me if I could sing with her, I said yes, very shyly, we went to stage and she whispered the song. and the song is If I believed, she asked me if I am familiar and I said yes. So she started sing the first verse and we were together on the chorus, after the chorus she looked at me saying its my turn so I sang the second verse. All of my schoolmate begun screaming and Jaya was standing there and smiling. She even let me sing the chorus part alone and we joined together on the very last part. Before I leaved the stage, there are humogous people clapping and screaming my name and Jaya whispered to me "you are a great singer, you have to continue doing this"...I love it. Actually If I believed was not included in her album that time but she like to sing that song because that is her favorite, so I guess we are now three loving this song...

Of course I do! I know all of my favorite songs by heart. Some of it are all time favorites like Iris by the GooGoo Dolls, and some of it are an instant fave the moment I heard it on the radio like Samson by Regina Spektor...
The first time you heard the song, there is almost no collective memory of it, except the expression that you liked it and it sounds like this...
After hearing it the second time, you could actually pick up the tune and some of the catchy lyrics
The third would let you able to memorize the chorus..
After a few more times, you could eventually sing along it, but never on your own
After a few more.. you've actually memorized the song without any help of a lyrics copy...
Since I love to listen to my favorites over and over again, there's seldom of them that I wouldn't be able to sing. I could even memorize song that I'm not really into, if I could hear it often enough on the radio...
My current favorite is Bubbly by Colbie Caillat. It's really sweet and I could relate to that bubbly feeling you get everytime you're with someone special. It's almost as if you don't have any problems at all, and all you could feel is the warth and care that person gives you... Much love. ^-^

Hi! When I really like a song, I try to find its lyrics because I would really love to sing it. I'm the type of music lover who can't listen to a song unless I can sing with it...unless I'm doing something. I always have WinAmp on whatever I'm doing with the computer, even right now. While typing, I just sing to the songs I'm listening to unless I'm thinking of what to type

I can remember but I will not sing it again. I don't like song now and I like it 10 years ago. I still remember the song I ever love most. But it can't excite me now because I have experience too much and I have changed my hobby and feelings. It only can remind me of sweet memory.

I have many songs memorized, not by conscious effort. One of my favorites is "Dogs" by Pink Floyd, about 18 minutes of great music and incredible lyrics.

hi there mycharm88!c",)
Actually, I don't really have a favorite song just as long as I love the artist I love the rhythm then that's it.
And basically, if I do really love the artist almost all of her/his song as much as possible I must (take note) must memorize.
One of my favorite singer is AVril Lavigne. Almost all of her songs I have memorized already. So it's like that.
And every artist that I do like I also has one favorite song or I gave it more emphasis compared to the other songs. In Avril Lavigne's case the song that I love most is entitled "skater boy". I like the lyrics, the rhythm, and evrything in it.

i actually do memorize my favorite songs. Actually, i don't know if you could call it memorizing at all. you know when you sing something over and over again and long enough, it just gets easier to recall the lyrics? yup, that's what i do.
i also have to constantly memorize other songs too. especially songs that i have to perform for occasions. of course, how i memorize it is just to do like what i mentioned above, just keep on singing it.
