Every so often I travel abroad and I hear bad words about filipino like being, pushy, arrogant and cheater. I am filipina and it hurts. Do you think it is true? and why filipino have to do it if it is true?

Hi eve!
I dont believe that to be true,we as people have a way of stigmatizing others.
It's wrong to put these labels on a whole race of people, when it's impossible to know them all.
The characteristics you've mentioned can be found in all races of people, regardless of where they're from, i believe those attitudes can be said of any race of people, because they are human behaviors.

I've never been to the Phillipines, but I work in a nursing home in England and we have quite a few staff members who have some over from the phillipines on student visas, training as caring assistants and nurse. All of them have always shown a great respet for each other and for the residents we care for and always show a great sense of community amongst themselves.
A couple of them came over on their opwn and did not know anyone but the others have always been so friendly and made sure they feel happy and secure. There is never any in fighting among them or anything like that.
They're caring, polite, generous, kind, all the things you could ask for in someone working in a nursing home environment.
Of course, these people are all in the caring profession, so maybe all filipinos are not this way, but then not all british people are the same, not all american people are the same etc.
No matter how loveley a race is as a whole other races will always find the one bad example and tar everyone with the same brush.
