As a beauty therapist, I noticed that the services that we provide are becoming more demanded. We as a beauty therapist, same as a hairdresser does, have to keep ourselves updated with the new skin care and techniques. Women of all ages come regularly to do waxing, facials, pedi & manicures. Men are also increasing. Waxing is becoming very popular as well as facials. My question is how often do you visit your therapist, if you do? And for what services? Or you are one of those who dont believe in beauty therapist? Your opinions are much appreciated.

I don't have a beauty therapist at this point in time. If I need a manicure or pedicure, I do it myself @ home. It saves a lot of money. I have everything I need here. The pedicures are getting quite a bit harder because I'm pregnant. I know that when I get older, I'll probably be a little more concerned about my vanity, but right now, I don't need to be that concerned because I don't have to do too much. I used to get my eyebrows waxed, I haven't for a while as I've learned to take care of them myself. But I think I'll start doing facials at home myself also.

I visit my beauty therapist on an optional basis.Manicure and pedicure is needed every 2 weeks, facials once every two months. I consider these optional, depending on the availability of funds and my heavy schedule allows. As long as the skin is taken care of very well, it is not really necessary to go for facials. I can also do my own manicure and pedicure, but sometimes, the pampering by the beauty experts leave me feeling good, because most of the time, they really do it better because of their expertise in their fields.
