Ipod is great. No doubts. But there are many like me who are not ready to pay exorbitant price and still enjoy quality music. I have been thinking of buying a new MP 3 since long. What do you guys suggest? Sonix 7 pro sounds promising. Has anyone used it? Can you share a review? I am keen to buy a good MP3. Many have advertized on Ebay...giving a 4 GB MP3 for very less. But I also read somewhere that those MP3s specially sent from Hong Kong or China are not genuine products. So I am looking to buy something in my local market. I have searched Argos, Curry's John Lewis etc...but didn't find a product which suits my needs and fancy. So anyone who can suggest me something nice would do a big favour on me. Don't suggest gumtree....don't rely on it. I am looking for a stylish 4GB or more MP3/MP4 which has a good sound quality and battery back up and is not very higly priced. Looking forward to your suggestions.

Ipod is buying a headache. Just like most other things that come from MAC, the business model seems to be "if we make it expensive and cumbersome to use, people will respect it more."
I bought my wife the RCA Opal M4002. It's a 2Gig player, but it also comes in a 4gig model (M4004). The music quality is great, it comes with voice recording but most important (to me at least) is, you can change out the songs in a flash. You don't need any special software to use it, and even the 4gig model sells for much less than the 4gig Ipods.
My son has an Ipod, I am using it while he is away for a couple of years, but when he comes home and I buy my own... I'll drop the $70-90 for another RCA instead of the overpriced, over rated, user UNfriendly, Ipod anything.
