I use a lot of real pumkins and candles in my home when the weather gets cooler. I really enjoy crafting mini-graveyards and set it up on the counter of my kitchen so it can bee seen by everyone in the house. They have Christmas village scenes so why not make a graveyard scene? :P

So true. Halloween is a big hit at our house and we always try to do something really neat with the outside and the inside, too. We have a lot of fiberoptic characters and other stuff that lights up, too. We use the gourds and carve pumkins and this year I'm going to try to get some corn shocks. Our town is pretty rural and there are a lot of farmers so I know we can probably get some. I may make some lifesize people using old clothes and stuff and sit them on a couple of hay bales. Lots of ideas, so little time! :)

Yes, I was just at Hobby Lobby last weekend and I was amazed at all the fall decorations that are out now. Hobby Lobby is a big store like Michaels and Joann's Fabrics. I know it seems early for shoppers to be buying for the holidays but as I told my husband, its not too early if you are making something. It takes time to make some decorations and costumes so if the supplies out early, we will be able to get what we need and have it done in time for the holiday. Happy crafting!

You're right. It's never to early to start crafting for things because some of it is time consuming and there's always the expense of thing. I know that money is always a factor for me because I'm not made of money, so I have to budget myself and behave when I go shopping. lol

Oh my goodness! If you have photos put them up here! I wanna see these! When I was still working at AOL as a Help Desk Tech our whole dept was decorated for Halloween and each cubicle was done with a lot of effort and imagination. Dang, that was a fun year! I have a mini graveyard or countertop graveyard. Check out my previous posts and profile page for photos. I have a table top Halloween tree and countertop graveyard! =)

I have also seen some really cute fall and halloween decorations this year. And I did order some neat Halloween cardstock for scrapbooking. But I haven't actually started working on anything for fall or Halloween decorations yet. Normally I start bring out the fall/ Halloween decorations around mid-September to the first of October.

Nothing wrong with that! You are better than I am then at timing your decorating. It's still August and I feel like I am already running out of time and it will Halloween soon and I haven't started making anything yet.

A sweater? How nice! I wish I could wear something long sleeved over here. I live in AZ and temps are unseasonably warm still. We are hoping the temps cool us down by Halloween or trick-or-treating is going to feel like summer. =( So you enjoy scrapbooking also? How cool! You should upload some of your photos to show us!

I am not making one more thing! I love Halloween and the fall season and I have tons of stuff for the occasion! I am almost addicted to the decorations they have out! But this year I am going to be a good girl and not buy or make one more things......Last year with my little granddaughter we made pumpkins out of toilet paper rolls! She loved them!

I certainly don't blame you. I am at that point now myself. I feel foolish when I see the craft magazines at the stores and my eyes spot a Halloween project I would like to make. I have about 4 large boxes of stuff just for Halloween. Even more for Christmas. But I can't help it. I LOVE crafting and the Holidays are perfect for it. Maybe I should do scrapbooking for make crafts I can sell online to satisfy my desire to craft without adding to my current inventory. :)

Sounds fun! Can't do that here. Our street doesn't have any outside lighting and so no trickortreaters come here. I learned that my first year here in Havasu. There are a few streets that do decorate for Halloween though. I just decorate the inside of my home for my own personal joy to help me enjoy the fall season. I take my bag of candy down the "Halloween Streets" to sit in my fold chair and hand out the treats to the kids. I love Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. :) I need to get my graveyard unpacked and prepared. I also have a couple of Halloween trees to decorate.
