caring for the sick in the hospital means hard work, tons of patience, genuine smile amidst the unholy hour of the day and loads of tender loving care...when we were exposed at a public hospital here in my place, i encountered cases that are beyond my imaginations..i thought cases like those i handled are only found in the book...i felt helpless just looking at them..and i know that they are just helpless as i feel for them..in cases like these, an extra mile extension of TENDER LOVING CARE may mean life and hope to them..let us be generous enough to extend it the people in the sick room...

sometimes, if not often, it is just so hard to instill them and impart them to others or tell them that. no one would ever see it or would understand unless they experience it first hand or be one of them. a good example for this, is what i have written in one of my discussion titled "star of life". it reveals the true life of people, men and women who works with pre-hospital response yet oftentimes neglected and in some point being cursed for the things the cannot do. what the public forgot is that, they or we, the men and women in the medical health profession are still humans capable to suffer from emotional agony and needs emotional care as well. i believe it's a great article to read.

yes dear mumaiybanrz, rreally is it the feeling among the hospital staff . i was going through some news item at delhi`s bara hindu rao hospital where the doctors are on strike . though for obvious reasons . but patients will and are loosing their lives. can they make them alive again?
such doctors should be charged with murder and tried in the court of law.
well i admire your will power and courage and congratulate you on tlc!!
and i wish that your tribe grows . pl send a message to your heroes at delhi hospital!!so that they at least perform their duties!!

hi my friend??? how are you?? you feeling good today??? you should not be reading so much of those depressing news because of your condition...but i know that you just care so much..i dont know about what is happening in delhi hospital but i will figure it out..are the doctors asking for a raise??? maybe they deserve that but as medical practioners, they should be more faithful to their oath of service rather than go after monetary benefits...

You are right. There are people for whom there is little hope medically but, just a small gesture like holding their hand, combing their hair, taking the time to listen to them can make a world of difference to how they feel. Doing anything we can to preserve their dignity is also, I believe, very important. When people visit their loved ones in hospital, it gives them more confidence in the medical staff if the patient looks comfortable, clean and tidy
