Ugh!!! Today I found out that hubby probably needs to go on a low cholestrol diet. He has already been on a low sodium diet for the last 10 years. My son has to have a diet where he has no seeds, nuts, or much roughage. He also can't eat pork products and can only drink one kind of pop (although that is ok as we don't have too much pop in the house anyway). Daughter is on a gluten free diet because she has Celiac Disease so that means she can not have any wheat, rye, barley, & oats. Which also means no pasta, pizza, cookies, bread, cakes, breaded chicken nuggets, fried chicken, cereal, etc. unless it was made gluten free. So that sure makes cooking interesting let me tell you. I was reading that hubby should have oats because that could help lower cholestrol. So he should, daughter shouldn't. Daughter also has to be extremely careful of cross contamination or she gets vey sick. So I prefer to not even keep any wheat, rye, barley, or oat products in the house if I can get away with it. So at the moment I feel like tearing my hair out as I am getting tired of figuring out who can eat what, etc.
Well that is my vent for the day. Thanks for reading.
What is your vent for the day???

You're being bopped around in the kitchen by medical necessity; my tribe tries to mess me over out of preference. "I don't want spaghetti, I want a hot dog!"," I don't like hot dogs or spaghetti; I want macaroni and cheese". "I hate all them...make pot roast!"...'til I want to run in front of a bus! Whatever the reason, valid medical or just plain bratty, picky, creepy...it's frustrating, exhausting and just plain sucks. I'm a dad, not a short order cook. This is a kitchen...not a diner.
Gonna pack 'em off to bed soon and look around for the Seagrams 7. (Just kidding?)
