Olympics end on Sunday, were they good or bad?

What is your opinion? Apart from all the speculations and doubts that the games have raised do you think they were a success? To me these games were great in organization and most of all because of the athletes, I have seen the world's best athletes competing, breaking records, and I think they were just great, regardless of the country they were from or if in the end they won a medal or not, all of them did their best. Of course the event had negative sides to it also, but all in all I think they were very good.

Despite the scandals that have been going on, I think this Olympics is turning into a great success! You have the amazing performance of Michael Phelps in the swimming events, Usain Bolt being part of 3 track sprint world records, the wonderful story of the German weightlifter, and overall, just some amazing performances by so many athletes who have trained their lives for these moments. From an athletic standpoint, these are a great olympics!

i can't believe its ending so soon, didn't realise, i thought it went on for a few months, it just makes me more annoyed that all the money spent on it is even more a waste of time.
