Just wanted to know exactly how many hours on an average do you sleep? Yes,yes,I do know that the ideal time is seven to eight hours per day for healthy mind and body. But quite often I find myself lacking in the required amount of sleep due to various reasons,i.e.,assignments mainly. Similarly all of you must be having some work pressures or the other.
So I just wanted to know that despite all your engagements,do you manage to sleep the required hours? If so,then how do you manage to take out those hours.
And if not,then
Do you feel sleeping for lesser hours affect your efficiency? For me,I do feel it does, to some extent.

I regularly sleep at least 8 hours a night.
I would feel tired if I don't sleep regularly

Hi there worthy!
At an average, I do sleep for 6 hours. This is very true especially during weekdays. I sleep a little late and have to wake up early in the morning because I have to go to work. During holidays or breaks or weekends, I would sleep at an average of 8 hours. To some extent, sleeping for lesser hours and even extra long hours affect my efficiency. I wish I could really sleep for about 8 hours. Unfortunately, there are reasons why I can't sleep within the required number of hours.

Hi friend.I sleep for 7 to 8 hrs per day.but sometimes only 6 to 7 hrs.Ofcourse depriving a good sleep will certainly affect your thinking capacity and overall health. You may not feel fresh and active.A work which you need 1 hour to finish may take 2 hrs.so sleep is very essential to keep our mind and body sound.happy sleeping..thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

Hi hon,
How are you doing? I know you are busy with your studies and that's the way it should be but I always miss you.
I am good keeping up with the hurdles that life has to offer me with. Let me tell yo those are nasty but I am living it, I have no choice, do I?
So dearie, you can well imagine the amount of sleep I get usually. Things were worse though previously when I had to struggle with even 3-4 hours of sleep and it was then when had to take pills. But I am kinda over it now. I get the required amount of sleep and that too naturally. That is 6-8 hours on an average. I am sufficienctly refreshed. Proper sleep is very important for everyone and the duration largely depends on the constitution, emotional state, occupation and the kind of environment one is into.
I just hope you get sufficient sleep. That os required for charging up. You take care and do not let stress to take over the sleeping hours.
Happy sleeping.

I'm an insomniac, my hours are weird, and I'm extremely busy.
So often I don't get eight hours, five to six sometimes.
But if I get a couple days out of the week with eight, then I'm doing better than I used to be. I hardly slept at all four years ago, haha.
I don't think it really affected my efficiency back then, but I'm a writer...altered states of mind are good for creativity. Having such habits today'd probably be really hard on me though. Stress + lack of sleep = zombie-like movements and sluggish thought processes. *nods*

Yes i manage to sleep 7-8 hours a day. It is because I budget my time well and I stay at home all day. My job is online, so I find it very helpful in managing my time well. I spend almost 8 hours in front of the computer, 2 hours cleaning, cooking and any other task in our house. 2 hours playing with the kids, teaching them their assignments and other 4 hours just doing anything I like with the family. And the rest is for my sleep.
I believe that it is important that we get enough sleep so that we have active mind and body all over the day.

Hello worthy,
Yes you really need and mut have 8 hours sleep a day or you cannot function prperly during the day and it is most dangerous when you are driving so that is why there so many accidents on the road these days because of tiredness so I know that you must have at least 8 hours sleep.

I believe I usually sleep for 7 hours but sometimes when I'm excited for the next day I just wake up at the exact right time, without an alarm clock or anything!!! It's really weird to me. But today I sleped for 11 hours and I don't know why. I fell asleep at 4:00 A.M. but I've fell asleep way later than that but I still woke up in 7 hours. weird.

This makes me look bad, but I average 12 to 13 hours of sleep in a 24 hour day. I work cleaning the house every day, make my fiance's lunch for work every day, manage 3 indoor pets, and I tire myself out so much. (I'm yawning already!)

I love to sleep and on an average I sleep for 7-8 hours. On weekends, when I am at home, I try to catch up with my sleep. You see sleep for our body is must, otherwise we feel lazy and dull throughout the day.
How are you? How are your studies going on?
Have a great day!

hi worthy,
seven to eight hours is my average sleep. i can't function efficiently when I get less sleep cause I tend to fall asleep in the middle of a class if i don't get enough sleep. Also, i couldn't think properly (in a sense that my mind is a bit slow in processing) if i don't get much sleep so I made it a point to get eight hours of sleep whenever i have exams.
As for how i manage to get the required sleep, well, time management is the key.
I usually get whatever needs to be done ahead of the schedule (assignments and major projects) so i wouldn't have to cram.

I used to sleep for 7 hours or more but lately, my workload has increased greatly, so much that I have to do them at home. As a result, I usually sleep for 5 hours or less. Ocassionally, the stress I experience can keep me awake the whole night even when I lie in bed and close my eyes.
