I'm not afraid to hold newborns. I was around babies from the time I was really young. So i was holding newborn babies before I knew that it was a scary thing to hold a newborn baby I have three of my own now so I'm used to it even more from taking care of them.

When my wife deliver our first born which is my daughter a year ago, The first thing I do is to kissed her when my wife introduced me with her in the Hospital and I'd really love to carry her in my shoulder but she is so small for she has been delivered with my wife for a "premature birth" so I only kissed her and waited for a month for her to carry when she is out from the incubator machine in the Hospital and the waited moment has been answered when the doctor told us to bring her in the house......

Newborn babies don't bother me. I love to hold them, even when they are crying. I've often wanted to help a new mother when her child would be crying out of control. I wanted to take the baby and put it across my shoulder. We have a newborn in our family that is only 4 1/2 weeks old. I was thinking about going up and holding him today.

Yup, I don't have a baby.Infact, I am not yet married. But, when my sister delivered her first baby, she too was so scared to hold and take care of him.I helped her to get over her fears.I am not scared to hold babies, I am used to.I took care of my brother and my youngest sister , so it was not a new thing for me.I enjoy it.

I would really like to do so. They are so cute. I don't mind them crying. Only thing being they should not pee on me ;) By the way, nice pic u have uploaded of the baby.

A new born baby looks very fragile and not very interesting. Its neck muscles are weak and so needs to be held with care hence many people including first time mothers are scared to hold them. That are afraid that they may end up hurting the baby.

Babies are delicate and sensitive.By the time they are born they are weak and not strong.I still love to watch them and I find it interesting. The way they try to move their tiny little hands and fingers or lift their leg up, this are worth noticing for me.

It is quite cute but it is soft. Be careful and support its neck when you carry it.

Oh, don't be my friend.I know their body is too small, soft and delicate and that can be one of the reason why you are scared to hold a baby. You give it a try and your fear will disappear in a moment.Once you know that the baby likes your company, they can sense it actually, you will be excited and delighted.
