I am planning to buy a car soon. Here the way people get fancy numbers are either bribing or bid for some of the listed numbers, which can be real costly. What should i be doing? Should i go for a fancy number for my car? or that doesnt really matter?
In case i do plan for a fancy number, should i be bribing someone and getting it? or should i wait for the bidding to happen and get it then which can take time also. I am confused what to do..
Any suggestions are welcome.. Have a good day friends..

I take it you are meaning the number on your license plate for the car you are going to buy. To me, the number is nothing more than a way for the government to keep up with you. Why spend money on getting a number or some name that you will continue to have to pay for? I see so many ridiculous things on tags here in the US. And I wonder what people were really thinking when they thought up those silly names. My son did have one you could actually tell what he was since it was all able to be spelled out, unlike most of them you see and can't figure out. But he decided the extra $50 a year meant more in his pocket than the government's, although he still does the same kind of work that the license spoke of.

Here, what we have is number. So it can look like (code) 3763, (code) 007 etc. Its slighlt different from what you have i think. So if we need numbers like 1 or 7. its a fancy number. And also becomes a bidded number. Other numbers like say 1001 (not so fancy) etc might be available to you via some bribery or something as the road transport corporation people would have somehow held up those numbers.

First you'll want to go to http://www.kbb.com and pick out a car you'd want and get an idea of what you'll be paying for it by looking at the retail value, private party value and retail value of each car and print it up. Then look around your area and see if there's one for sale. On the site, you can calculate what the payements would be if you know what the interest rate is going to be. Hope this helps!!

Hi Friend, So which car are you planning to buy.
As far as I know such fancy numbers are pretty costly. Do you really want to shell that much of money on it instead you can spend that money on a car accessory.

Hi sreekumarn86,
Great you are getting car but why don't you just keep the number you are getting with the car? but if you can afford it you can bid for the number.

Come on man. Whats there in those numbers. Accept what you get. Don't change it. Never ever think of bribing someone. In some cases there is no way other than bribing. I know that. In such cases just think if its so necessary. I don't think that its so necessary for you to do a mistake(bribing).

I am going to guess you mean a custom license plate. I would not engage in bribary for anything, that just is not right. Fancy numbers do not matter. It is just pride. You should be proud to have a good car.

Why the fancy numbers. Just accept what is to be given to you. That will be your number. You will be guided by it. Dont look for the triple numbers of 777 or 888 it doesnt mean anything to you.
