I took 24 hours of from Mylot yesterday. I only posted comments. No new discussions. No responses. I made 7 cents. I was very clear that I took an entire day off to. In my case, however, I posted long, involved comments. I think that's the key. One liners don't get you money. So if a new Mylotter asked you, "Do commemys earn you payment?" Tell them yes, but remind them about the one-liner thing. Just my two cents and I little Mylot research I felt like sharing.

From what I've read, myLot has a very complicated algorithm to calculate your earnings, It would take into account the number of posts, rating of the posts, responses to your discussions (if any), and how many "best responses" you have. So even if you post more on one day you can earn less because quality posts are going to be worth a lot more than posts that have negative or neutral ratings. You will probably make more if you post in different interests because you will reach more people and if they rate you higher you'll make more. However, to my knowledge myLot does not pay more just because you post in different interests.
Also, if I were you I would start discussions for two reasons: you have to have some ideas that you want to talk about on myLot that have not been posted and secondly you can make money by having lots of people respond to your discussions. In those two ways, and continueing to post will help top your earnings.

When you start a discussion and reply to the responders on your discussion within 24 hours of the responder then you'll be paid. Even rating someone you'll be paid. Responding to others discussions you'll be paid. Now I've heard picking best responses you'll get paid for that too. I'm about to find out for I have pages and pages of unresolved discussions to go through.
