Im just curious, Hillary supporters. If she suddenly announced after the DNC that she was putting in her bid as an independant canidate for president, would you vote for her? Even knowing that it might inadvertantly hand McCain a win? Is your support of the Democratic party more important? Or your belief that hillary clinton is the most qualified for president and deserves your vote? Just curious.

It is an interesting idea right there! I would vote for her without hesitation, these two candidates right now are both a calamity!

I don't think she should run, just as it would further divide the democratic party, and would almost ensure a McCain victory. That being said I don't know if I could NOT vote for her. I supported her in the primary (after Edwards dropped out, wow I know how to pick them?), and think she is the most qualified. And I don't like McCain at all, and am becoming more and more disillusioned with Obama... So I guess I would probably vote for Hillary instead of my current plan, which is probably not vote.

I don't think she can win as an Independent. If she was going to run, then she should have already announced this information, as she had been looking for money. Many people wouldn't even consider voting for her for any office.

In order to win, she would need 35 percent of the popular vote.

I would vote for Hillary. I don't think she would ever do that though. I am not voting for Obama/Biden, the hypocritical ticket. I call them this because Biden stands for everything Obama says he isnt. He wants "Change, we can believe in".."a new kind of politics"..then why choose a career politician as your running mate whose son is a key Washington lobbyist oh and he takes money from all of those "special interest" groups that Obama doesnt. What a joke! I am on the fence at this point and will either Vote for McCain or not vote at all.

Well, whatever you do, at least vote for someone. there are 75 parties in this country and a number of people to write in. At least do vote, whether it be McCain, a write in for hillary or someone, just at least vote.

I think I would vote for her. My belief in Obama has gone down the tubs. I supported him until about June, and wish I had voted Hilary in the primaries now.

I was supporting Hillary in the primary, but I do not think she should run as an independent. If she could win as an independent it would be a different story, but all it would do is to give the win to McCain and that is the last thing we want to do! Obama may not give us what we would have gotten with Hillary, but it won't give us 4 more years like the 8 that preceded them.
