Transfering a Neopet/Lab Ray

Have you transfered a Neopet in the Neopet Pound before? I have a couple of pets that I want to either transfer, put up for adoption, or possibly zap with the laser beam, but I'm not sure what option I should take. Do you guys know how it works when you get the lab map? Do you get to zap your pets as many times as you want?

Why would you abandon your pets? Hehe I already tried putting one of my pets in the neopet pound before because I got tired of maintaining it. I never tried zapping my pets. I don't know about that option. Anyways, it's been a long time since I opened my Neopets account. I wonder what happened to my pets now?
