So you know how the fairytales go, the princess kisses the frog and now he's a prince and they live happily ever after. In real life, do you follow this same strategy? Do you kiss the frog? This could mean all sorts of things, from people you meet that you aren't sure about, blind dates, somebody you've dated that you like but aren't attached to. Do you still hold out hope? Do you think that it takes many mistakes to find the frog that becomes what you want?

I have kissed a lot of frogs, and in fact, I still am. Sometimes it takes time for that frog to turn into your prince, or, you might not even know until it is too late.

I understand what you are saying. I have dated people I was not necessarily attracted to because they could have wound up being my prince charming.

Hi mommyboo,
I am always reserve when it comes to this matter..I know fairytale stories are true to some but not to all! LOL!
So, in my past date experiences, I am always reserve..I don't kiss on first date and I don't trust fully! LOL!
I didn't know what made me trust my husband very much on our first meeting..Maybe when it is true and genuine love, we can really sense and feel the difference!

I think that we have all kissed a few frogs in our life. But I also think that you have added to the analogy and that is important, you are right it could mean any number of things, not just the "kiss".
Giving someone a chance that you don't have instant chemistry with might actually lead to a long-term friendship or even a love interest that you wouldn't have known about otherwise. Doesn't hurt to take a second look! That guy or girl who doesn't make our toes curl with desire at first glance may have other great qualities that actually create chemistry.
So yeah, blind dates are one way to kiss the frog. Another is simply accepting a date with a person who might not be your normal "type".

Well... as for me... I've always been wary of kissing frogs. I mean, the fairy tale has always fascinated me, but I think I've always known they were just stories, and at some point in my life, I got to thinking, if I kissed a frog, what if it didn't turn into a prince, but instead, I'd turn into a frog???? :D
I wish I already had the privilege of the mylot code. :[
But seriously, about holding out hope, sure I did. I do. And I think this holds true for any relationship, romantic or otherwise. Somehow, you give a "kiss" - of kindness, of friendship, of love - with hopes of magic to come. And you never give up.
And if my response doesn't make any sense, I hope you all will bear with me. I just want that mylot code privilege. :) Have a lovely Sunday!

I've kissed many frogs in my life. Some turned into exactly what they were before: frogs LOL
In general I like to kiss frogs, there's a whole world of things that we can discover that are hiding inside frogs and that sometimes people overlook because.. well people in general don't like frogs - it's an aesthetic thing :)
In the end, I made many friends from the frogs I kissed and found what I wanted in a non-frog :)
