United States

Yes, it is true. A far out over the edge way out there ridiculous lawsuit claiming Obama is not eligible to be President of the USA has been filed. Was it the GOP? Was it a RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY? Was it racists who can't stand the thought of a black man as President? Nah, it was none of those. Find out who at whose bidding this was done here. http://www.americasright.com/2008/08/obama-sued-in-philadelphia-federal.html I say certain Hillary Clinton backers have shown their true colors for what they really are. What do you say?

I am not sure this is all truth as the only source I can find is this right wing attorney. If this is a Hillary supporter it does not surprise me anyway. I think Hillary would rather Republicans win so she can run in four years. If you think there is a legitimate concern about Obama being born in the U.S and you trust factcheck.org they have a detailed description of how they examined his original birth certificate and found it to be valid.

It could be like the bigfoot hoax last week. That had credibility because if it was a hoax it would be so easy to debunk, as it was right away. Same in this case. The filings of lawsuits is public knowledge. If this guy is making this up he'll be found out right away.

I possess an 'objectivity switch' that can be turned on at will. That being the case, BR has to go to the one who first cast doubt on the validity of this story and followed up with many intelligent comments throughout the thread. Congrats, BR to you.

A Democrat landing a punch against Obama's birth certificate, well we do not look so funny now. Philip Berg, a former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania is not just some run of the mill member of the vast right wing conspiracy. How can anyone think after reading this story believe that this on going story about Obama being born in another country is just the product of the right wing smear machine. Unless members of the vast right wing conspiracy lives in the Democrat party, Democrats do not like Obama either.

That the inventor of the phrase 'VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY' should probably be engaging in such behavior herself in merely more evidence of the psychological phenomona called "projection". Hillary is not only a joke, her and her husband should both be used as examples in the text books for Clinical Psychology.

Ohhhh Pleaseeee! Grow up people! If he wasn't eligible to run he wouldn't be running. I will say though that Obama's worse enemy is his own Democrat party. I don't believe any of them have faith in him including his own chosen running mate Biden. Obama's got his fans, the American people who believe they have been handed the short end of the stick and deserve free money. And those who are just want to do a total about face from what they have now, thinking that can't be any worse. But really yes there is a bunch of confusion in Obama's background. Even his book brings up more questions (been trying to read it,lol). But I guess this shows that Hillary supporters are more likely to back someone other than Obama. The more they push that button anti-Obama the more they help the McCain Campaign. So all the power to them... I'm sure that this case was presented and tossed out quickly(there has got to be someone dumb enough to try it)... just a bunch of whiners really.

Most of the press is not taking this story seriously so it is hard to get the facts, but I think it has been thrown out. There is definite information the guy who brought the suit has filed frivolous suits in the past.

I was wondering when this was going to happen. It sure took them long enough, but I never thought it would be a democrat that did it. Obama had better come up with some mighty convincing evidence PDQ or the democrats are going to have a LOT of egg on their faces, and be out of a messiah figure as a candidate as well. As it is, from what I have read, Illinois is still waiting on verification of his status as well. What a bunch of morons to have let things go this far without any verification or even an attempt at some...

Well, Obama is the 'magic Negro' and they just did not dare challenge him before this. Just goes to show that anyone no matter who they are needs to think twice before getting in the way of Hillary.

It seems the only legs this thing has are heresay and "could haves". All the basic elements of conspiricy theories. Nothing cooberating, just convincing speculations. I 'm not going to speculate wher it came from or if Hillary is behind it, or her supporters or a "right wing nut" or his old highschool rival for that matter. It is things like this though that really detract from the important things. the real issues with him are more than enough for me to not support him and I wish people would just focus on that, maybe if we do that we won't get our arses handed to us on a silver platter in november's election.

Election season is 'silly' season, for sure. On the issues alone, McCain beats Obama with the majority of Americans, I think. In any case, Obama is a weaker candidate than Hillary.

I feel, in my gut, that Hillary is behind this whole thing. She's probably got a few layers of lackeys between her and the plaintiff, as to establish deniability. She is a proctologiast's dream...a PERFECT a$$hole.

I don't think calling it a Right Wing Conspiracy could be accurate since the suit is coming from a wacked out democrat! I think that that party is self destructing. Which is a shame.

Exactly. That's why the question mark in the title. I wanted Obama supporters to read the linked article and discover it was a leftist doing this, if in fact any lawsuit was filed. The latest info is that a suit was filed but nothing is coming of it.

God bless infighting! lol. Absolutely nothing surprises me anymore in this Presidential race. Is it a case of sore losers? Is it conspiratorial? The one thing it does ultimately prove is that there is absolutely NO solidarity in the 2008 Democratic Party. We have Obama's choice openly stating in the past that he feels Obama is NOT up to the task yet is now his running mate; and now fellow Democrats looking to do whatever they can to crucify their own. It just defies logic. The saying is that we will never understand religion or politics right? It's great to see the Democrats keeping this saying alive!

Searching on the guy who supposedly filed this lawsuit turns up a lot of conflicting stuff. The only thing for sure is that the man behind it all is not a well balanced individual. I have info indicating both the suit has already been dismissed and that it was never filed. My hypothesis currently is that it was dismissed almost immediately and that when another lawyer searched for the suit he did not find it as it had been trashed already when he seached a day or two later. In any case, this lawsuit (?) is not going to affect Obama one bit.

Okay (whew). Had to respond to your link before I could here. As I stated there, this bogus lawsuit keys on this mans citizenship. I seem to remember a bad actor from Austria becoming the Governor of California! And while that is not the Presidency were are still dealing with US government. Where did he get his qualifications from, the set of T3? We are talking about the President of the United States, a position held in check by two other branches of government. Obama wouldn't be running the country alone, he would be the representative of our country and it's politics. How qualified was George W? This crook has served two terms in the White House and should be in prison!!! And to further touch on Obama's citizenship, yes there are many acts he has taken that have been deemed unpatriotic but the fact remains that he has been in the trenches when it comes to humanitarianism in the US! he has never be labeled a communist or terrorist (until he ran for President anyway). Thank you for posting this. This is just further proof of how far some will go to condemn this man. If you don't like his politics fine, but this is ridiculous. I don't remember any candidate,in my years on the Earth, that has had to endure this much mudslinging. Why is he so feared?

I have to admit to never seeing or hearing about this birth certificate matter. If his birth certificate is fake why is he endorsed by the Democratic Party? Just doesn't make sense if you ask me?

I say if these allegations are true, the man cannot be predident of the US and now IS the time to address them, not after he's been nominated. Don't you think it odd that the only real record of Obama's past are what he presents in his book? Or that the media has made no attempt to find out anything other than what's in his book? What man as young as he was even writes his memoirs?

For the love of all that is holy - Hilary is a Chimp! This is silly. Don't like the man and the fact that he beat you? Join the other side! Stop with the nonesense and attack his politics, plenty there. But noooooo! Rather go with the same old tired BS. What stupidity. This is a woman who couldn't keep her own husband in check and she wanted to run the country! Why didn't anyone question her fitness? We all know she is behind this newest crap. Lets all face it, there was no conspiracy 40+ years ago to ensure that Barry could run for president someday in the future. He has been vetted already and he is legitimate. So rather than shake out the tired old BS regarding his family tree focus on the issues!
