How many of you here in mylot Not for money..???

I am definitely not here for the money and consider it to be a nice side bonus only! If my participation was purely related to wanting to earn then I would get disappointed and leave very quickly becasue I just cannot put in the effort required to really generate any regular and worthwhile income here..... I am a member for the intellectual stimulation and because I have to write a LOT for my job on business related topics so this site is an escape for me in that it allows me to read and write on topics that are of personal interest to ME for a change! And at some stage or another the earnings WILL build up to a point that I can cash out and maybe buy something I like! Even if not, I don't really care. It's fun here and I have enjoyed it for over two years now.

I am not here only fro money. I like to spend time here for sharing knowledge with people from all round the world.also i can get advice for my problems. friends are also nice. some even PM-ed me when I was really in trouble. the earning little money here is just extra

Whether you are in here for money,for fun or both as long as you aren't breaking any rules and make a good effort I welcome anyone and everyone to mylot :) I can't say I am just in here for fun, otherwise I could've chosen any blog. I have made a couple of good friend but I don't take on too many friend requests because I want to make a good effort for the people I have in my list and I hope they will do the same for me too. Too bad some people have two faces in this, I kinda have two faces in this aswell because I am in both for the money and for fun. But on the other hand, since I am open about it that's not completely true either... lol . Good topic, keep them coming!

honestly speaking, i started mylotting for money and i have no qualms about saying so. but i've been here for over a year now, though been active for only some 2 months i guess. i came back to mylot only yesterday when a friend told me that there is a cool ranking system in mylot and challenged me to beat him at it. i found it amazing and thus back on mylot though not for money this time. i'm not denying the fact that earning some cash at the end of the day would be good but its not my sole objective anymore. there are sites on the net, where earning is easier and faster.

Dear Chennai I take this opportunity to further your discussion on the following points. How much a person can earn from my lot 30 $ a month. I think it is difficult for every one. A dollar a day means that you have to post at least 60 discussions or responses that too have some contents and substance. I think if it is original of the poster it will at least take 10 minutes to post one for those who have very good speed of typing. For those not perfect in typing one can not write such good discussions. It means that for posting 60 discussions one has to sit for 10 hours and only then one can earn a dollar a pity more. Yesterday and today also I have seen discussion Earning Record broken. Earned 1.42$ in one day. It means this person might have put at least 12 hours to post. What the value of 1 dollar in today's life. Nothing. People at my lot are from various disciplines having sufficient knowledge of their respective field and submit here very good opinions and learn able matters. If more people are here for earning only I do not believe because in the Western Countries and in Europe,Canada and America(from where this site is promoted), if one want to earn money he will go to some Gas Station or utility Store work for 3 hours and get minimum of 50 $. Why such people should sit before the computer for hours together for earning mere a dollar a day. I think it is not correct that most people here are for earning. This site is social more and paying people less. In my opinion most of the people from world over at my lot are mature in thoughts and experience and the express their actual experience in the discussions and responses. It is good that they earn some thing while exchanging their experience with the young and old both generations and from whom the new lot learn also. We can say here learning and earning is both which no other site provide. You have said that why there are two faces of thought. I would say that face is one but their are two expectations 1) to Express our feelings which we can not do some where else ii) My lot pays some thing. Here People have fun to earn points. In real terms there is competition between some young's show that they have done more. In real seance money is not the matter here. Think and consider if they are after money at my lot why they should write to much in detail just to respond your discussion. From the language used and from your ID I think you are from India. If I am after money I would not have written in such a detail & I would have posted about 10 posts in the time I have spent to respond your discussion. If your view point is the discussion for the sake of discussion then it is good idea to bother other my lotters to think twice while writing such detailed discussions. i for one, i just come here to meet new friends and read different kinds of ideas of people that came from different part of the world. that's all...actually haven't got money yet in here.

I'm most certainly here to make friends, learn and share. The money is incidental. What the money factor does is make you actively participate. It's a temporaary feel good when you see the money in your paypal account. I think you would feel the same as well once you get to be more and more active.

The truth of being a member of myLot is no one can be here for the money, because it is just not that much, no matter how many hours you do. To be here just for the money you would have to be on the computer constantly from morning til night and even then it would not be worth it. Many people join because of the money, me included, but once I realised it was only ever going to be pocket money then it stopped being for that alone. I come here more now because I enjoy answering discussions, I enjoy setting a discussion, I can tell people about my day or anything that has happened that I want to share. There are a lot of people on here now that I have known for a while that I enjoy coming on to talk too, and then at the end of the month there is a little bit of pocket money to go in the bank.

At first,I even do not know I can get money from mylot,I just think it is a good place to share my opinion and talk with people from all over the world.Also I can improve my spoken english here,from you guys help,hahaha,lol. Then I know I can get payout from mylot,I am so excited because I thought it is easy to make money here. Now,I know I was wrong,it is not as easy as I thought.I just earned about $1 here,haha. At first, I joined mylot because of money. I mean let's be practical, poverty is rampant now. But later on, I enjoyed posting comments and discussion, I find it very fun. I also learn some new things because of mylot. I'm also helping those people who were asking for opinions and advices regarding their problems. I enjoyed everything here in mylot.

I heard mylot make us money for responding and start discussion so i joined mylot. But earning in mylot is very low so what.......... Who will be here to earn even having so many other site for this. They can earn a lot from other site than here. But for me, I am here to discuss and make lots of friends. What is best for us mylot give dollar to do this.

Hello Chennai. :) I was about to post a similar question. This is a good one. I am here, first, to write. Second, to meet new friends, share ideas and learn. Third, to make money. This site is one way for people, including me, to keep their sanity intact. Take me for example, this is one of my way to get connected to the outside world, being a stay home mom, with no close friends in a new country im living in now. Money comes easy, anywhere, lots of it...but not friendship, not learning new things. Have a good day!

I will not lie: in my first posts, I was REALLY here for money. But now, I think that the money is just a consequence. Let's be honest with ourselves: the ammount of money that you get for posting will not guarantee you a good living or so.. Maybe a monthly gift or something like this, but nothing big. So, myLot turns out to be a community not for earning, but to share opinions, knowledge and experience.. And that's what I'm for here. =)

My primary aim here is not to earn money. I mean, how much money can you possibly earn? I participate here to pass time. Of course, I'm not objecting to earning a little pocket money along the way.
