In an increasingly stress-ridden world with growing religiosity, more and more people are turning to prayer. Often when you are grateful or helpless you turn to prayer.
How have you experienced the power of prayer?

I have experienced it and it works. The more people that pray for you, the better.People do not realize, that just because you pray for something, does not mean you will automatically get it.

My son is sick and i dont have money at that time. I am so worried because i cannot even buy a paracetamol for him. While im on my way to my client riding in a jeep, i prayed to God, what will i do and ask his help to find some ways to find solution for my problem. When i arrived to my client office he just simply extend his hand with a money on it and say thank to me because i send his papers right away and he badly needed it... See??? Prayer is so powerful...

I mostly pray when I'm worried for others, or for thanks and to express awe or thoughts to my respective deity.
I wouldn't call it a power or it having any power in its own right. To me its much like meditation or any other sort of faith-based activity that I conduct in my life.
An effort not to ignore my deity and actively speak with her about things, while watching for the lessons and answers.
I'm not "turning" to it. It's part of my life.
I'm always stressed, but that doesn't increase the odds of me praying either.
