Hi, The internet is full of virus-based softwares and one needs a nice anti-virus to stay alive in this strange eventful world. Which anti-virus do you use? Many people use free anti-viruses like AVG free and NOD32. But I give more importance to paid Anti-viruses. I use the eset Smart Security Antivirus but prefer the Norton 360.

I use Avast and have for the past few years. I use to use AVG, but I noticed that there were some things AVG wasn't finding. Avast was referred by the IT department where I work and I have never had any problems out of it.

Where do you go to work? If Avast is recommended by an IT Department, it must have have good quality. Is this true?

My system is guarded with BitDefender Internet Security V10. But I still prefer using HijackThis and Combofix because not all viruses can be remove by an antivirus. Some are hooked into your registry so you need to disable it first.

Actually there are some FREE antivirus softwares that give premium protection for your computer. I'll be endorsing here Avira AntiVirus. Why? I have been using it for a long time now and it has been tested. Viruses that can't be detected by AVG (which is a bad antivirus program) would be easily detected by Avira. I trust my computer now with Avira. It is free since it is the Home edition. But if you want stronger protection, there is Avira Premium to try.
