On your kid's clothing, do you look at price tag's or does value for money win?

In today's rising prices I often look for value for money clothing especially for growing kids. Yet with today's trends and commercial billboards streaming left and right, I sometimes have to be wittingly smart to convince them of my choices. Do you get swayed in by your kids to buy those designer clothes?

Luckily I have a three year old--she knows nothing about designer clothes. I'd rather look at price than value when it comes to kids who are constantly growing. Why pay a bunch of money for something they may only wear once or twice? Don't get me wrong, I still want my daughter to look good, but that doesn't mean she HAS to wear all the name brand items to do so! Sometimes I buy off of Ebay and from thrift stores, and run into brand name items that are inexpensive--I don't mind buying those then (kids don't have to know you bought them there!).

Even at home, my three-year old son would be choosy with what he wears. He doesnt like to wear his old clothes anymore even if its just faded a little. Now I get to choose what to buy for him. And I'm not really much into branded clothes, they are mostly overrated and definitely overpriced. And I hope my kids grow up to be practical.

myoldest really isnt into lables or trends yet. but i know soon she will be. i cannot be swayed by her want or desire for name brand clothes. I buy her clothes that will last and that look good on her.

Dear friend,
I rarely buy clothes but I had come to know the prices from my sister and relatives who mostly buy clothes for me. It is really a rising high price and not only for clothes even other stuffs too. Moreover if the dresses are more fashionable and treddy the prices would be much higher and these dresses are even in great demand too.

My son is 9 so he really could care less what name is on his clothes. However my taste tends to lean toward name brands only because I am more interested in quality for the dollar as opposed to the actual price of an item. Plus the fact that the stores that I shop in usually offer high end products.
I find that sometimes when you only buy based on the price, the quality is less so you end up buying more often.
