Ok fine. I have decided to share one of my "dirty'" little secrets and DAMN the consequences! lol.
I am a Business Executive that works for an international company as a VP and travel the world working on communications technology related services and solutions..... And I enjoy Celebrity Gossip! Phew.... It's finally OUT! I feel so much better now! My wife and I watch Inside Edition and TMZ on the cable channels here in Egypt and I also bring back the gossip magazines whenever I travel and we both read these as well! Who is marrying who; who has broken up with who; who is pregnant; who got arrested; who is in rehab..... I follow it all! lol. Am I messed up or what???
What about you? ANything totally out of the ordinary you wish to share that would be totally unexpected by those that know you? And for God's sake, PLEASE keep it clean! lol.

I'm secretly a multi-billionaire who consults for fun with the CIA, FBI, NSA, and numerous international intelligence angencies. My current assignment is to assess the stupidity of the world via myLot postings in anticipation of how far we can go with our next massive deceitful money making operation.
Don't laugh. It was due to my assesements that Al Gore launched the 'carbon credits scam'. So far, that has paid off handsomely. The money is not done coming in.
Our current scheme to rate the stupidity of the public at large worldwide involves just coming into the open with the truth and see how many figure out what is really going on. We suspect no one will believe me, so why not tell?

You made me have a good laugh there when you read the title and get to the topic and it's so unexpected what you read there. I thought it might be something funny, but I did not expect it to be about celebrity gossip! .
I don't see anything wrong with enjoying it, I don't enjoy it myself but I don't judge anyone who does. Everyone has their own interests .
I'm a cyber gothic and I listen to boy george and childrens songs, argh! That's out in the open too .

Thanks, I think this might be because I was born in the late 80's and also got a lot of the 90's electronic music aswell. Even though this style was born somewhere in the eighties it has some 90's influences as well .

I was hoping to have a lead in with a twist. We gotta do what we gotta do to get the readers right? lol. "Cyber Gothic" is a new term for me actually and picturing Boy George AND children's songs is one heck of an intriguing combination! I grew up with Boy George as a mainstream star myself! Thanks for responding.

Thank you for the education! I feel younger already now that I know this! lol. I too consider myself to have a very wide taste in music. I am an 80's teenager as well so we too ended up very different when it came to clothing and hairstyles as well! Dare to be different I say!

i was howling by the time i got to the end of your post.
ONLY because i thought your secret was that you were a "suit".
that's what we call people (in PA), who wear a suit. for some that
a suit becomes their personification and nothing else. they can't
think beyond a suit. they can't have fun, etc.
so, i was quite relieved to read that your secret was that you
love celebrity gossip.
that's no so bad !
it captures my interest too. but more, that they appear to be living
the great dream and how messed up they truly are. no amount of talent.
no amount of money. no amount of resources seems to really help them.
some end up sabotaging themselves and their career !

Lol. Well I do wear a suit a lot of the time! But I can also step outside of that persona very easily as well so I guess I don't quite fit the profile you mentioned! I am someone who has to be somewhat two-faced I suppose; but not in a bad way! The role I have to play with my work is FAR removed from my general attitude towards life! I have yet to assume the role of a self-saboteur yet either thank goodness and hope I never do! lol. Thanks for responding.

Those things you mentioned about celebrities "sabotaging themselves and their career" Mommasam are what make them so interesting. I feel so guilty feasting on gossips about them for the purpose of making myself feel better (knowing their messes are far worse than mine) afterwards.

I think that even when it doesn't concern celebrities, gossiping is done by all of us to ultimately feel better about ourselves! It is far easier to ignore our own shortcomings if we are actively pointing out the flaws in others. It's just human nature!

I knew James that you were hiding something, I just could not pin point, now I know! Impossible you! hahahaha! I do not read them because I do not believe in reporters, I think they totally alter the truth about somebody, but I think if you are in the rain is to get wet, this celebrities know that when they become one they will have all that around them! Keep the reading, now I know to whom to go to if I need some info in celebs! LOL

I was an ex-intellectual snob until hit by neurosis that developed into mild psychosis. Boy was that a disgrace to my group. Having lost almost everything, I became so depressed because i could not even afford to buy Prozac or Zoloft. So i went begging for the help of long lost (intellectual non-snob) friends, Britney and Lindsay if they can refer me to their doctors and rehab center. They both told me, better try reading Yes and OK and watching The Insider, Inside Edition, TMZ and even Jerry Springer for it will surely help me. I did and so here i am given a new lease on life. And my dirty little secret "past" is out!

That's one heck of a self diagnosis there pinky! lol. Britney and Lindsay are certainly interesting role models to choose for this type of affliction too! I think most of us that enjoy this type of entertainment see it as both an escape and as a diversion from our own issues as well. I don;t even remember the last time I saw a Jerry Springer episode either; but from what I CAN remember there is nothing better than a Springer episode to help us realize how good our lives and personal situations actually are! lol. Thanks for responding pinky and I am happy that you too have found solace in setting your secrets free like I did.

I tell you another one, James and Anne. I was diagnosed with split personality. Sometimes i am Norma Jean, and sometimes I am Marilyn. I am not really Pinky. That's just my screen name. I wonder why up to now i have not yet received any invitation from either Oprah or David L. Seriously though, my one dirty little secret is too precious to spill because it is expensively bottled up and i drank it all already. Now i am sober. Did i just spit it out? Oh no!

I didn't think people would expect this from me either! Hence the reason for getting it off my chest. Oh I feel so cleansed now! Thanks for th response SViswan and you keep that secret to yourself, no problem. As I have said to an earlier member, at least it adds a bit of mystery!

I have always wondered what your first name may be! It always felt odd for some reason to be honest typing "SViswan" in my replies so you may see that I don't use it that often like I do other usernames. It's hard to explain but it seemed somewhat formal and unemotional when you consider how long I have been intereacting with you now. I appreciate you sharing it.

You want clean secret! Aha , you just blurted out your dirty one! That's mighty smart of you! lol..
Call it dirty or clean - I always wear my night suit the wrong side. I mean, I would never take the trouble to turn it right side and wear it. I wash it on the wrong side and wear it like that only!
Now, that's not intriguing - I know but I don't remember any right now.
Be happy with this one, James!

Lol. Clean as in "not X-Rated"! The first thing I thought when coming up with this topic is how many saucy and racy "secrets" might come this way and I was trying to come from a different angle here..... When you say wrong side you mean inside out right? Well at least this means that you can go twice as long without having to wash it. (But then again you DID say you wear it this way only) Way to go. Saving the Planet! lol. Thanks for responding.

Lol. I was seeking examples of things that people are "hiding" about themselves that are a little more socially acceptable I guess! I worked with a guy back In Australia that was seen as this rough and ready and tough taskmaster. Everyone was always on their toes around him because he was as manly as they come and veyr aggressive. I went to his home one time to drop off some paperwork and found him watching sports on the TV and KNITTING at the same time! Apparently it was a calming hobby suggested to him by his wife! lol. I was SWORN to secrecy! (Until NOW I guess! ha ha) It is things like this I was hoping to uncover! Thanks for responding and I hope your weekend was enjoyable with the family!

So I'm a prude? lol. I just figured that there would be an immediate focus on that kind of "secret" so wanted to think outside the box a little and have others do the same I guess. I actually have no issues with the "other" type of talk at all..... just not in public forums!

There is no such thing as an UNenjoyable time with my kids, so yes, we had a wonderful visit. We sat up till 5AM talking and laughing both nights they were here. My sister usually will have drunk herself into lala land by one or two so I was surprised that she lasted till 3AM on the second night!
The 'dirty' little secrets you shared about yourself and the 'taskmaster' are pretty funny. I don't have any for you that I can think of... I'm afraid that any of mine would be exactly the kind of thing that you don't want to hear, so I will save them for somebody who will appreciate them.

I love celebrity gossip, too, but I'm too....frugal....to actually buy the magazines. So on the days the kids aren't with me, I purposely choose a long grocery line so I can read them while I wait, then leave them at the store:) It's like my own personal library:)

James, how could you? I can't believe you're one of those...
~You probably go into a bookstore café and buy a coffee drink and gather up gossip magazines from the rack and hide them in between cooking and house and garden magazines for fear that someone you know might walk in on you.
~You ignore your partner when he, (did I say he?) I meant she looks at you accusingly as you leaf through the pages of who looked better in what dress and who was worst-dressed.
~You wait until the very end of the credits of TMZ to hear Harvey Levin's voice say "I'm a lawyer".
~You probably bookmarked a gossip site on the internet so you don't have to type the link every single time...
I cannot believe you are one of those people, James.
I knew I hit rock bottom when I started watching the show Cheaters. I guess seeing other people make fools of themselves and just going at it made me feel better about myself. And I always can't wait for Boyfriend to come home so I can tell him what happened to the guy who found out his girlfriend was cheating on him with his stepfather. I got over that phase, Boyfriend said it was important that I do so.

It's like you are reading ME like a book SaintAnne! Back home I would linger in that Doctor's Surgery waiting room for unhealthy periods of time just to catch a glimpse of the enticing array of gossip magazines on offer; even if they WERE sometimes several years old..... Everytime I hear Harvey Levin state these poignant words a single tear of joy mixed with pain rolls slowly down my cheek. Joy for having the privelege of witnessing such sensationalism yet pain for the show has just ended.
Oh and I have watched Cheaters too. Many a time! lol. What an absolute load of voyeurstic crap it is too. But I was sucked in, yes. I guess I find all of this a non-sensical release from the general seriousness I face on a day to day basis, so at least the secret is now out and I can continue on my merry way with little or no fear of persecution. Oh, the RELIEF! Thanks for the comments SaintAnne and I am glad you managed to pull yourself free from the murky depths of Cheaters attraction. Your BF is nothing short of a blessing!

I wish myLot also allows you to see the comment to your response while you comment back to that comment. It is 10 minutes after three in the morning and how do they expect me to remember what it is that you just said?
I know all these things because I have a certificate on people-who-read-tabloids profiling and it is NOT based on experience.
Don't you think it's a bit odd that Cheaters has their own dating site? I mean, who would want to join a dating service called Cheaters.com? Anyway, yes, Boyfriend is a blessing... and to think, a lot of people told me he was my rebound guy..... more than five years ago! And you're right, there in nothing short when it comes to Boyfriend. He is tall! We perfectly fall under the category of the short Asian girl and the tall White guy couple.

As you said, Boyfriend is nothing short of a blessing. He is so nice to me that he made us "frappuccinos" and chocolate chip cookies at 1230 in the morning. Because I was craving something sweet, I had a big glass of the coffee drink and now I'm feeling drowsy but very awake. I keep forgetting that Boyfriend does not have the same problem. He can drink a coffee drink at 3 in the morning and go to sleep at 4am. We're both awake but this is normal time for Boyfriend, not for me.
