Does the sight of blood make you sick?

i don't. i have worked with cadavers while eating my sandwich for lunch and it does not bother me so much. i use to be a medical student.

no,the sight of blood does not make me sick,but the smell of it does. People say that blood doesnt smell but it does,it smells of metal and it makes me wretch!

The site of blood doesn't bother me much. If its someone else's blood I'm fine. Sometimes if it is my own blood and there is a lot of it then I'll feel a little sick when I see it but I don't faint. Right after I had my first child, in the hospital there was a lot of blood and that got to me a little bit.

It totally depends on whose blood it is, if it is my boys blood I can handle it no problem. I have seen them all have split heads through their lives (I have three boys) and I was so calm and never batted an eyelid. However if it is my blood or my daughters blood, I melt into a puddle of fear. I am absolutely terrible, my daughter had a nasty cut to her finger that absolutely poured blood and I was a mess. I cried more than she did!

It isn't really a problem for me to view blood but I think it all depends on the situation and how gruesome the sight is. I try to watch surgery on tv but sometimes it gets too much for me. All the more reason why I can't become a surgeon.

its called hematophobia of fear of blood... my friends has it too and in my profession i dont think its an exception (nurse) hehe.. its commonly psychological and can easily be treated gradually.. i have that too since i was i child and im glad that iv overcomed it

hi yes my friend also faints like when she goes for blood tests she always faints!! but i am the same it does not have that kind of effect!! she screams and gets scared at sight of blood too but me i just think it water but red hehe
