Where Do You Put Your Loose Change?

Sometimes we can't prevent others from giving us too much coins as change. Most of my pants have secret pockets and it is there where I put my loose change. If you just receive some, where do you put them? Do you have a coin purse or do you just stash them in your pant pocket?

When I get loose change I first put it in my wallet in my purse. But once I get too much of it, I have a can in my bedroom that I will take it out and put it into.

I put mine in plastic coffee cans. We have been really broke so for my daughters 16th birthday I took all our change (1 1/2 coffee cans) to the Coinstar and ended up with over $400 after their fees!! It was great!!

Hi Muelitz, I always place it in my purse! then place in my box when I got home! I collect them and then bring to the mall when they accumulate to a certain amount! My hubby used to give it to me when we are together but this is very rare since he is using debit card but when he got some by reasons, he is putting it in his pocket!

I usually put my loose change in my top drawer until I can roll it and turn it in at the bank.

My loose change is all over the place. I usually just place them on my dresser along with everything else I tend to ignore. I can barely see my clock with the mess on my dresser, lol. I'm pretty good at not leaving them in my pant pockets. One day I'll bring them to one of those machines so I can get the cash in bills.

Most of it goes in the bottom of my purse. However when i get around to cleaning out my purse i remove it and it goes into my sons piggy bank. Then once or twice a month, we take it to our bank and deposit the amount into his savings acct. We opened it in May and he had over 200 bucks in it, but hard times fell when hubby lost work for a month and we had to touch it, so we are slwoly building it up as much as we didnt want to have to touch it. He is now back over 100 in about 6 wks..not just from change though, we have put other small deposits in to pay back what we took.
