Is Jayawardane the best captain Srilanka have had?

Did you people see yesterday's ODi between India and Sri lanka? Real treat for cricket loevrs. i am an indian and i loved the way the opponent team captain played. that shows the quality of cricket he played. when everyone (even from cooemntary box) felt that srilanka can't win when they were 5 down, Jayawardane was solid and detemined that he could pull it thru.
I saw a great captain in Ranatunga as he led their team to world cup victory. But yesterday's math just raused a quesion in me whether Jayawardane has got better of Ranatunga. Who is the greater?

i know he is a good player but he is not batter than ranatunga he took the 1996 world cup for the sri lanka.every day is unique day for everyone so yesterday it was his day but it doesnt states that he is the best caotain ever....

hi friend, welcome to mylot.
you have a point in there. but what i am amazed is his attitude. when everyone, even in the commentary box, say that sri lanka have losth he is one person with the belief that they could win. and he almost did it there. thats what is great.

jayawardhane is a gud caption no doubt, but in my opinion, arjuna ranatunge was the best caption srilank had
