but there are sites that do not use it. They use Alert Pay. What experiences do you have with Alert Pay? What do they have to know about you? Do you like it?

I have always used paypal too for my online transactions and I think with the future to come, I will continue to sticking with it. Yes, I've heard of Alert Pay, but I have qualms about it. Mainly because it is not widely known as paypal, and secondly, I have never really thought of using another medium for my online transactions. If only paypal goes bankrupt or closes down, would I consider any other money-transacting options. Have a nice day there..

By my short experience with alertpay, they're pretty alright. Once I have a problem logging in and sent ticket to costumer. Less than 24hrs I had a very professional assistance from thier customer support. A good sign of a legit business. They're pretty much thesame as paypal but from what I heard they charge a little more than paypal. Especially withrawing your money to your bank account. I guess there's no problem if you try them.

That would be a way to plan.

I tend to stay away from sites that do not use PayPal. I do have an AlertPay account but I don't use it do to the fees involved. Also it seemed to take forever for them to recognize international banks. The only reason I have AlertPay is due to one site that pays only with e-gold and I have to put that somewhere. For me, PayPal is the best. They have been around for a long time and if you have a problem they handle it rather quickly. Alertpay asks the same things as all the other payment processors. I have never received any money through them yet. When it comes to money processors, when in doubt, run.

I think I would always prefer Pay Pal. I do not have any e-gold to deal with, although I did read a discussion sometime this week with someone asking what to do with it.

Same here, my friend. I love PayPal and prefer using it over other like payment processors. As for AlertPay, I have an account with it too but I don't like them. My money is stuck there because they charge an exorbitant fee for my country. Unfortunately, not all sites support PayPal and I still need to keep my AlertPay account around for those few pesky ones. AlertPay should be fairly legitimate if that is your concern (just my view).

That tells me what I need to know about having an account. I hear some people saying they really get charged high rates.

I haven't heard of Alert Pay before. Paypal is famous for the international payment. I will use it rather than other payment methods. I love China

I have used PayPal for probably 8-10 yrs now and have always loved the ease of use, etc. I've both a personal and an upgraded account and have done loads of transactions when I bought/sold on eBay and have never had a single issue. Now that a lot of the online earning sites are paying via AlertPay only, I did make an account there so that I can get paid. I still prefer PayPal, but AlertPay seems easy enough to use. I haven't drawn out any funds to my bank account yet, but I did put some money IN my AlertPay account from my bank, and it went through just fine, but took a few days, just like it would with PayPal. Overall I still like PayPal better and will continue to use it for everything that I can, but I'll buckle in and use AlertPay where it is required.

That sounds like a reasonable plan. I know that I have not done a lot with Pay Pal, but I have had the account a long time. Never a bit of trouble with them.

I was thinking that those countries that cannot use Pay Pal on MyLot were getting paid through Alert Pay, but I could be wrong. That changes so many times for awhile.

A lot of people seem okay with them, but I still do not think I will go there.

I've never used AlertPay, I've used PayPal since not long after it started. I've also got E-Gold, but can't find many places which will convert it to cash or something I could spend in U.K. There are some exchange sites but they seem to charge more for the conversion than I have in E-Gold. I also have a MoneyBookers Account, but very little in it. Paypal can be used in a number of internet stores in the U.K. which makes it much more useful to me.

I dont want to use alertpay. The fees are really high. I remember when I transfer $1.14 from one of my earnings, I was shocked to see that only $0.14 were credited and the $1 was been considered fee. I prefer to use paypal. So if I see that the site doesn't accept paypal, I automatically do not join.

I have alert pay and it works like paypal, you can recieve a check or have set to direct deposit. The only bad thing I see is, it charges 50 cents for direct deposit. I'm not sure what the charge is with the others but I do know for a $10. withdrawl to deposit to my bank account, it cost me 50 cents. I bit stiff I think but got to take it or leave it. Oh and it doesn't transfer to paypal which I find not so nice.

I am sorry to say that if I come across a site that doesnt use paypal then I dont use them.... I am a bit cautious that way, sometimes too cautious. I have become so used to paypal and I know its dependable that I am almost afraid to use any other form. I have found that a lot of site that used paypal at one time no longer use them become paypal wont allow payments from them for some reason......

Sites that have a lot of disputes and rip offs eventually become unwelcome at Pay Pal.

I signed up for an alert pay account back about 2 months ago. BUT I've never used it because I use my paypal account and have been unsure of the reputation and such of alert pay.

This has been a good discussion for me to learn about Alert Pay. I would recommend response #4 as good reading.

I had not even heard of Alert pay till about maybe one or two weeks ago. I am also wondering if they are the same as Paypal. I have been with paypal for at least 8 years. I love it. I usually use it for eBaying, and making my payments when I win a auction. I am interested in knowing if Alet pay is exactly like PayPal. I am also wondering if thee are any other sights out there besides these 2?

Louise, response #4 to this discussion seems to give a very thorough overview of Alert Pay.

I have an alertpay account because I thought I'd need it, but as yet, I've never had the opportunity to use it. I like PayPal, and do my best to stick with services that pay through PayPal.

Gerty I have 10 dollars in my alert pay account. I just have never finished the process of activating my account to get the money out. I think you have to send picture id. I have no problem doing that but I wanted to wait to see how the site did because it was fairly new when I signed up. I guess we could do a consummer check on them to see what there feedback is or search the internet for reviews on them. Have you search for reviews? If so what types of things have you read about them?
