Yeah.... Nice to meet you but you've over stepped your welcome....

Well, our apartment mates are quite wonderful. They have their quirks that we can tolerate, but this just irks the heck out of me and my partner. We're ok if they have friends over. That couldn't bother us, we don't mind at all if they're over. The problem is from Friday to today, Sunday, they've been here and stayed in our apartment since then. One, two nights maybe is just fine. By the second night though I was just starting to be miffed along with my partner. These guests have over stepped their bounderies of stay. Heck, we could have turned them all in all weekend because they're staying in our apartment without consent. But my partner and I are too nice for that. I will have no problem though turning them in if these people stay tonight. My partner and I are tired of the noise that they're making. We haven't told them what we think yet because we're hoping this resolves itself. If they're here after nine though they're out of here. No questions about it. Have you ever had guests overstep the bounderies of their stay? What id you do about it? Did you wait it out or tell the others what you think?

I would tell them - "It was so nice having you over but unfortunately I have got to get back to my regular routine so we will have to end this wonderful reunion now and do this again at another time."

I am sooo tempted to do that. Just grab them by the shirt and start to push them out the door.

Yeah I could stand our other roommates friends but now this is getting old. I don't mind them having friends over but when the friends are pretty rude and make the girl make high pitched shrieking noises every few minutes, it's got to stop. Plus the rudeness of taking things that aren't yours is extremely old as well.

Very old. I'm just tired of all this. They need to go now.

Hi there k1tten! I hope that you guys will be able to sort things out. I understand your situation. It can really get annoying when you show how hospitable you are and people take advantage of your kindness. I have never experienced this yet but one of my friends did. Her family are all in Saudi Arabia, she's the only one here in the Philippines during that time (she is now in Qatar taking care of their family business). Anyway, when she was still here, a cousin of hers lived with her (plus 2 maids). We were all welcome to visit her at her place. One time, we went to visit her as she was telling me how bad she feels about her cousin's guests. When we arrived, she was obviously fuming mad. She told us that her cousin's guests used rooms that are supposed to be off-limits. She also told us that they cooked the food in the fridge as if they were the ones who bought them. They even asked the maids to do some errands for them. What really angered her was when she found out that they also used her stuff in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, facial wash, body scrub, etc). Her cousin told her that they would only spend the night because they had to work on their thesis. They ended up staying there for three days and two nights. On the third day, she had to kick them out of the house because she found out that they even used their phone for long-distance calls. She was really angry not only with them but with her cousin as well.

I hope we can sort this out too. I'd hate that too if that happened and I feel as if that's what's happening here too.

I would like to say that I avoid this by not letting people stay here if I think they are going to abuse the privlige. My sister wanted to stay here last summer with her kids, and I was OK with that for a day or two, but not longer, because my dog is hyper and he wouldnt calm down and so forth. I just thought that the two days everyone else was staying were the best. I said no to staying any longer.

Same here. I can only handle so many days. This is just getting rediculous.
