I believe most of the mylotters have been some trip before. Among all these trips (regardless whether overseas trip or local trip), which one is the longest trip for you? And how long is your longest trip?

The longest trip (flight) I had taken was from Vancouver to Singapore, and just one stop on the way at Hong Kong. That took about 18 hours, really too long for me. The next time, if I have to do it again, I would make a relaxing night-stop at some place.

Hi greenline, thanks for your response. Yes, the reason we go for a trip is to relax ourselves. Therefore, no point to make ourselves suffer during the journey, right?

Hi sachin_vas, thanks for your response. I envy on your experience, how i wish if i can have a 6 days trip. When i was young, due to my dad working nature, the longest trip of mine with family only 3 days. Now when i came out to work, my longest trip still 3 days, no improvement, hehe :p However, happy to hear that you enjoy your trip :)

For me the answer could go two ways. Since I don't know what you want, I'll give you both answers. The longest trip in time was to Florida on a train when I was a kid. It took 24 hours and was horrible. The longest distance trip was to Japan in 2002. It took 12 hours!

My longest trip was around the world and that lasted 14 months from February 1993 to April 1994. I went to Los Angles to explore some of California, then to Hawaii, then to Fiji and next on to Sydney. Then I flew to Adelaide and did side trip to Kangaroo Island, then I took a train to Melbourne and traveled by bus and train up to Cairns. Then I went to Brisbane and Sydney before returning to Cairns. My next flight took me to Darwin and then I did a side trip to Kakadu. I flew on to Singapore and used it as a base to explore Sumatra and Malaysia.

The longest trip I have ever been on was of coarse a road trip it took about 25 hours it was from pennsylvania to mexico. Most of my trips are road trips as they are less expensive. I have flown on a plane before but it has been only short distances.

Hi sunkissed, thanks for you response. Wow, 25 hours is very long, is already more than one day. I'm just wondering how you can stand that, hehe :p So far my longest is about 5 hours, road trip also. But my 5 hours very suffer because there us a serious jam, normally journey should be 2 hours plus.

I have been to Hawaii which is a very long trip from the East Coast. It is at least a 12 hour flight. I have been overseas also but the Hawaii trip I believe was the longest. I guess that I would like to fly to some other places. I have flown to Alaska also which is a very long flight also. It is nice to be able to go places.
