Were cassette tapes all that bad? For the most part you could rewind them in to the mini spools and they would work and play perfectly. Cd's get scratched and if you don't clean them properly you could damage or cause data to be erased... So what do you think? Which one is better? Do you still use cassette tapes? Do you use CD's? What about the old records?
What do you think?
I myself think that the cassette tapes are more trusted if kept in temperatures that would withstand the tape roll.

Well, there are advantages and disadvantages. Cassette tapes are better for storage while CDs are better for playing. Cassette tapes loses its quality every time you play it while CDs doesn't necessarily. But the film of the CDs corrode through time. It will last for about 5 to 10 years. So by then, your grandchildren won't be able to see your videos or hear your music. Also, CDs 'hang' while playing a bad track while cassettes continues on.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both, and I think that you've done a great job counting some of those disadvantages. Which one would you rather use then?

I agree cassette tapes are not all that bad,and you can rewind them if you wish to and they would play good, and I agree c.d.s get scratched easily and if you do not clean them correctly and if you do not take care of them they could get damaged and stop working,I think cassette tapes are better even though it is getting hard to find cassette players nowadays, and we still listen to cassette tapes sometimes when we are out in my dads truck,I love you.
