Why movies end with music or a song?

Well I have seen some movies that end with the main characters goofing around, but generally it's to open up the credits, who produced it and so on, as it's more likely for people to stick around if they like a song and listen to it then know the movie is ending and thats it, if you were watching a movie and heard a song you like when the movie was finishing or your movie finished silently and now everything is silent and the only thing left is the names going up with nothing else, what would keep you longer, and that's most probably what goes through their heads too. Sort of like a marketing strategy, after all the credits are there for a reason, people like to get recognition for their hard work and hope you'll read it wile relaxing to the movie. At least that's what I think...

first of all ,POH is a real good movie also will and his son have the best acting both .it is worth the word :awesome. and the musics sounds while movies end up ,i suppose that is make people reading the casts not boring or leaving out with peaceful ,even keep the feeling of the movie longer , maybe some else . but any way ,some music of them is good ,that is another nice enjoying .

Well, songs in movies are suppose to convey what we should be feeling at certain points in the film. I think that by adding the perfect song helps make the theme clear and adds to the overall effect. I haven't seen too many Bollywood films, but I guess it's different everywhere.

hi tutul0045 , as i think every individual have their own taste some likes to have drama,some like action,some like music etc.so movies are made not for an individual one so in movies their should something for everyone.so that everyone have something to watch in the movie.so should have music too.
