what do you do when mylot doesn't have topics that interest you?

To me at my lot there is lot of material to which we can make discussions and respond to the existing discussions. Some time it become difficult to find a good discussions with certain contents. I used browse the various interests and topics for initiating new Discussion and I make it and get lot of responses to it. Making a fresh discussion though it takes more time than to make a response but I like it because it gives me eternal happiness. How do you think about this, please do comment.

There are just so many people with so many topics here in mylot that not finding good topics is hard .. but yes there r dull moments . i usually take a break that time :)

well, if i cant really find for a topic or a discussion that interests me, i try to look for old discussions. those topics that are not so interesting are usually located under today's top, so i would try to look at topics with no response, those that are under my interest and those that are started from by friends, with a lot of options to choose from, you should be able to pick some that you could say something about! but when i cant really find anything good even with old discussions, i would just try to start my own discussion!

Thanks for a better topic! The same was just happening to me I am looking for some good to response and I am not finding anything. This is happening for last 2-3 days. I haven't earned a penny in these days. This happens to be often and I don't mind it. I just keep away from mylot in these days and come back later with fresh mind. I might find some good discussions to response then. If not, I just let it go. I don't post to a discussion just because I haven't posted a single response in a day. Many days go just Blank, just like that. Cheers!

Hi You have raised a very valid point.I feel that most of the time topics are not very interesting to respond to.I really have to search before posting a discussion.I try to look for new discussions or recent discussions for suitable discussion to post the response.I also check the friend's list also at times.I cannot answer any discussion randomly.Happy Mylotting!

Well i do the same like you ashly1979. When there are no topics that interest me then i check out the replies and comments i have got to my own discussions and posts made. Sometimes i browse through to find some nice topics to reply to. Also when such a situation happens i sit up and start my own discussion threads. But its a very rare scenario that i don't find something that interests me. I'm pretty comfortable with most of the topics being posted.

If I really can't find anything to respond to, which is very rare, I will either start a new discussion myself or come back in a few hours. Hopefully, by then someone will have posted something interesting. I refuse to answer discussions I consider stupid.

This happens most of times when I start searching for intresting topics. I open discussions started by new users, no responses and then open my friend's list. From there start searching if any of my friend has started an intresting discussion. I am seeing for many days now that the discussions here on MyLot are almost the same. I start feeling strange when I see the same discussions in different style and with different names again and again.

If I get a day when I cannot find anything that interests me, then I will go through all the tabs of discussions on my page. I start from todays top and work right the way through. If I cannot find anything even then I will resolve a couple of discussions and then switch off myLot and go and do something else for a while.

There's days like that for me as well. What I do is ask myself some simple questions, like what have I read in the news today, or what book have I've recently finished, or one of those open ended questions like, what do you do when.....? DCMerkle

i usually can find something that interests me. if i don't i just go to another category, go read or watch tv.

well im really into sports. i know pretty much everything about sports. but there arent alot of sports discussion on here. my only guess is to seach. type in what you find interesting... that should help

If I can't find topics that interest me, I will try to start a new topics that interest me or find the hot topics.

Sometimes it's really difficult to find the topic that interests you,but what you need to do is to be patient, for there are so many topics in mylot ,and everybody here is different in minds ,there will be no lack of topics ,so why not be more patient?

Do nothing? Lol... When I am in a mood to respond to discussions, I will do my best to hunt for topics. I would try and try till I get tired or fed up then call it a day. After all, if there is a dearth of answerable topics for the time being, there is pretty much nothing I can do.

If I can't really find discussions that interest me, even after searching for those started by my friends, within interests or those newly initiated ones, I'd just type a key word and search for some in the site.. (^_^ )

Most of the time i get the discussions here at the MYLOT that keeps my interest but still sometimes it become very hard to reply to some discussion that is against our interest. In such cases i go for the discussion i have started and start discussing it.Also i start some new discussions on my own to get some interesting discussions and thus in this way i manage to get the discussions of my own interest. Sometimes i really don't get the discussions of my interest and thus in such cases it is the best way to start some new discussions.

yes, there are times that it was hard for me to find topics that will interest or inspire me to respond. In those cases, I lurked around here for about 20 minutes, scanning and visiting all the old and new discussion by others or by my friends as well as old topics from my interest. If I still didn't find topics that interest me, I browse or watch on youtube for a moment, and once in a while, I return here to see if there's new discussion that might interest me.

I try to start one and hope i reached top discussion. Same thing with try to visit older discussion that I did not comment to and try to gave comment to them.

then i try to made some my discussions ,something new and interesting,but i always see here a lot of different and good discussions,so i don't worry about that.i care most to send request and to have here some refferals that is most important at this time to me.about friends from this community that is not big problem!
